About
Alchemy Survivors is a bullet heaven roguelike where you dodge swarms of monsters, unleash screen-filling attacks, and craft brand-new weapons every run. Combine the materials you find into powerful weapons and gear, then use your custom arsenal to survive the endless horde.
You're an alchemist trying to survive in a world overrun by monsters. You'll find tons of weapons to help you mow down waves of enemies, but your real strength lies in alchemy: you have the unique ability to create brand-new items unique to your game install with 20+ crafting workstations to discover.
The game is currently in Early Access and we're continuing to add to the game.
So far we've added:
75/99 characters to unlock
35/50 levels to explore
Hundreds and hundreds of enemies to discover
30/50 bosses to conquer
20/25 ways to craft
We're planning to exit Early Access on September 23, 2026. We have a lot left to build, and we want to hear your feedback and suggestions too!
Fight through waves of enemies in fast-paced bullet heaven survival combat. Your weapons attack automatically while you focus on positioning, dodging, collecting upgrades, and surviving as the screen fills with monsters, projectiles, and loot.

Every run pushes you to build a stronger loadout: mow down hordes, evade boss attacks, grab materials, equip better armor, and craft increasingly absurd weapons before the next wave overwhelms you.
To get stronger and survive, you'll need to master the deep alchemy crafting system.
There are many ways to manipulate your items, typically through the crafting workstations you'll find while exploring each level. You can combine items into new weapons at a crafting table, craft specific pieces of equipment at an anvil, and do more wild alchemy at other stations you'll discover.
For example, you might find a wishing well that lets you wish for anything you can think of -- not just what's in the game right now. If you wish for an item inspired by Abraham Lincoln...

You can also wish for all kinds of new weapons and you'll see them created immediately and manifested directly into your game, ready for reuse in all of your future runs, too.
There are many ways to craft your perfect item... you'll just have to find and master them!
Arrow keys / WASD to move
[Tab] to view inventory
[Esc] to pause
Controllers also fully supported.
Walk over the crafting table to start crafting (you'll need items and essence!)
Collect everything you can; you never know what will be useful later!
Defeat powerful minibosses and elite enemies to find more essence
Craft brand new items unique to your game install every time you use essence
Crafted items can show up in your future runs, too :)
The further out you explore, the more you'll find!

GREAT survivor game. Keeps getting better as you go...
This bullet game is really fun to play, really entertaining. Love how it creates different weapons to kill the monsters. I leveled up really fast and got strong pretty fast, the wolf did get me at level 16. I am going to have to try again!
Very fun game! Each person's run is totally unique, and the possibilities are endless. The underlying game loop is classic and fun and gratifying, but the crafting twist and fact that things you generate are carried forward to future runs is super cool
Fun to play! It's addicting to see what is crafted next. Easy to pick up and play for a few minutes.
Such a cool use for AI. Keen on future updates
Cool little bullet hell game. Interesting crafting system, the way it lets you combine any two items to get something useful. Very retro. Definitely worth a few bucks!
Awesome game! So addicting, and I love how you can combine the different weapons to make something new. The characters are pretty different so it's fun to see how the strategy changes with each one.
Very cute play on a survivor game, Incredible amount of depth from generative combinations. Would definitely recommend.
Game is very easy to pick up and play. Devs are very responsive to feedback. Great community and most of all fun.
Alchemy Survivors takes the familiar survivor-style roguelite formula and injects it with a creative crafting system that gives the game a unique identity among its peers. Developed by Andrew Brown and Andrew Noel and published by Chroma Golem, the game places players in the role of an alchemist fighting through relentless waves of enemies while gathering materials and discovering new ways to grow stronger. Rather than relying solely on traditional level-up choices, the game centers much of its progression around experimentation, encouraging players to create weapons, equipment, and upgrades through alchemical crafting. The most interesting aspect of Alchemy Survivors is its dedication to player-driven discovery. Every run offers opportunities to collect resources and combine them into new creations, making experimentation a key part of the gameplay loop. This approach gives the game a sense of unpredictability that keeps sessions engaging. Instead of following a fixed path toward the same overpowered build each time, players are encouraged to test different combinations and see what surprising results emerge. The crafting system adds an extra layer of strategy because success depends not only on surviving enemy attacks but also on making smart decisions about which materials and items to combine. Combat follows the genre’s established strengths, with large enemy hordes gradually filling the screen as players gather experience and become increasingly powerful. The action is fast-paced and satisfying, particularly when a carefully crafted build begins to overwhelm entire groups of enemies. As runs progress, the battlefield becomes more chaotic, demanding quick movement and effective resource management. The balance between survival and experimentation creates a gameplay loop that feels rewarding, especially for players who enjoy discovering powerful synergies through trial and error. Visually, the game embraces a retro-inspired pixel-art style that fits the genre well. Character sprites, enemies, and effects are designed with clarity in mind, allowing players to easily track threats even when the screen becomes crowded. While the presentation does not attempt to push graphical boundaries, it succeeds in creating an appealing atmosphere that supports the gameplay. The colorful visual effects generated by weapons and crafted abilities add excitement to battles and make successful runs feel increasingly spectacular as more upgrades are acquired. The game's content structure also contributes to its replay value. Unlockable characters, multiple stages, bosses, miniboss encounters, and a growing collection of crafting possibilities ensure that players have reasons to continue experimenting. Since different characters and item combinations can dramatically change how a run unfolds, repetition is minimized despite the familiar survival-game framework. The developers have also continued expanding the project through updates, introducing additional content that broadens the range of available strategies and challenges. One of the few potential drawbacks is that the game's emphasis on procedural generation and experimentation can occasionally lead to uneven results. Some crafted combinations may feel considerably stronger than others, and players seeking a carefully balanced competitive experience may find the randomness less appealing. However, for many fans of roguelites, discovering unexpectedly powerful builds is part of the fun. The game embraces that philosophy and focuses on creativity rather than strict optimization. Alchemy Survivors succeeds because it understands what makes survivor-style games addictive while adding a meaningful twist through its alchemy-based crafting mechanics. The combination of endless enemy waves, character progression, item experimentation, and procedural discovery creates a compelling experience that stands out in a crowded genre. Although still evolving and expanding, the game already provides a strong foundation that rewards curiosity and encourages players to keep exploring new possibilities. Rating: 7/10
