Reviews
There are no other reviews so I guess I'll write something. There are a lot of other Vampire Survivor clones out there that outright suck. This one is actually pretty decent so far. It doesn't have the same weird floaty, clunky feeling a lot of the bad ones have. There are some unique features here or there that make it seem a bit different. I'd say the main one is that the meta progression changes things up and you're not just clicking boxes like this (+1 Damage 0/5 ) for every stat. Instead there is this strange passive base being built up, kind of like in Suikoden, and you carry progression by unlocking and upgrading equipment and I think your weapons. Overall it's one of those games that is worth the money because it's so cheap but I think with more and more updates it will be something you'll be happy to revisit from time to time.
Fun game that has gotten stale due to lack of updates. Dev has kinda stalled out and I fear this game isn't going to see its form it has the potential for.
Unfortunately abandoned.
I usually do not write reviews for a few months after the game is out because I want to give the devs a fair shot at keeping all the promises they make about game support. I think a dev who is too silent or too busy right at the start of a game release are both bad signs. One shows lack of care, the other shows signs of early burn out and a need to please people too much too early. This dev was latter of the two. He promised the world for this game and then disappeared. No longer responds to any discussions, hasnt had a patch or update in months, and hasnt fixed any bugs or ongoing controller support issues that players have been asking about over and over. The one thing though that bothers me the most is that he isnt around to monitor trolls or bullies in the discussion area. People are not getting updates or any explanation of game mechanics that are crucial to game play. (Red Pixel, hidden perks, how upgrades work, and many more). So because of this, people feel they can be hurtful or rude to players who have questions that are valid. If the dev was there in the discussion area, to clear up these questions, and to flush out the trolls responding on the dev's behalf in their own rude way.........people wouldnt be requesting a refund left and right. Until the game gets the attention I paid for....I wont change my review.
great game if you're into surviving or further stilling
Good price to entertainment ratio. Wanted to find another Survival game that's going to be updated since Nomad Survival looks like the updates are about to slow way down and I love the feeling of logging in and there being new stuff.
Great potential! Already a fun game and could end up surpassing Vampire Survivors. Definitely scratches the itch for more of that content.
Neat little game in the Vampire Survivors vein, well-polished with a decent variety of weapons, and a bunch of stage effects which mix things up and stop the game from feeling completely static from one run to the next. Lots of equipment and other stuff to unlock and level up, and additional bonusses from levelling up individual characters and stages means there's always an incentive to keep going and doing just one more run. Developer is super active as well and constantly pushing out balance tweaks, QOL updates and new features.
Great game! The Survivors genre is off to a great start and this one seems like another winner. Edit: The more I play it the more I like it. While clearly the same type of game as Vampire Survivors, I don't feel bored like I've done it all before when I play this. If you were/are addicted to Vampire Survivors, you'll be addicted to this. Highly recommend.
Solid pick-up and put-down banger.
