Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best RU #60, worst BR #84 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 12.57/day in the week to Aug 25 → 27.29/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Stephan King is proud
As a Stephen King fan, I absolutely loved Alan Wake. The atmosphere, small-town setting, mystery, and constant feeling that something is seriously wrong all hit exactly what I enjoy about psychological horror. The story had me genuinely invested in what was happening to Alan and the people around him, and the whole idea of a writer being trapped inside a nightmare he somehow created is such a cool concept. The Taken were terrifying at first, and somehow I didn’t even realize I was playing on Hard difficulty until I finished the game. I kept wondering why they were destroying me so easily. The lighting, music, narration, and overall atmosphere make this game feel like you're playing through a supernatural thriller novel. It definitely has that Stephen King feeling without just copying him. Absolutely recommend it if you like psychological horror, mystery, supernatural stories. 10/10 — would accidentally play on Hard again.
Pros: - Story - Characters - Atmosphere - Writing - DLC's Mixed: - Gameplay (It’s solid but too basic) Cons: - Sprinting Duration - Driving Segments - Repetitive (The basic combat mixed with dull enemy variety kinda turns the game into a slog near the end) Overall, its a good game to revisit even with its age. When I first played this on 360, I didn't like it but I gave it a 2nd chance and really enjoyed it. And now on PC, it's still a good experience and you can adjust the frame rate and such to make it a bit better since Steam unfortunately doesn't have the Remaster. My biggest issues with Alan Wake 1 is that the combat is overly basic, there are too many collectibles, and the game gets repetitive with the environments & gameplay system. Alan Wake 2 is a perfect follow-up and I really hope it gets ported to Steam at some point so I can buy it again. 8.0/10.
