"AI: The Somnium Files" ist eine richtig gelungene Mystery-Visual-Novel im Stil der Zero Escape-Reihe. Die Geschichte hat mich von Anfang bis Ende gefesselt und ich wollte ständig wissen, wie es weitergeht. Die zahlreichen Wendungen und Enthüllungen sorgen dafür, dass die Spannung bis zum Schluss erhalten bleibt. Die Charaktere sind insgesamt sehr sympathisch und liebenswert. Lediglich der Protagonist wirkt stellenweise etwas zu kindisch. Dazu kommt, dass die häufigen "Haha, Pornos" und "Haha, Sex"-Witze meinen Humor nicht wirklich getroffen haben und für meinen Geschmack etwas zu oft vorkamen. Besonders gefallen haben mir Iris und Mizuki. Zwar fand ich den Idol-Aspekt von Iris gelegentlich etwas anstrengend, ihr eigentlicher Charakter macht das aber mehr als wett. Beide gehören für mich definitiv zu den Highlights des Spiels. Auch das Flussdiagramm mit seinen verschiedenen Handlungszweigen ist hervorragend umgesetzt. Die unterschiedlichen Routen fühlen sich sinnvoll an und jedes Ending hat seinen ganz eigenen Charme. Insgesamt ist AI: The Somnium Files eine spannende und clever erzählte Mystery-Geschichte mit sympathischen Figuren und einem gelungenen Erzählkonzept. Trotz meines kleinen Kritikpunkts beim Humor hatte ich viel Spaß damit und freue mich schon darauf, den Nachfolger "nirvanA Initiative" sowie das Spin-off "No Sleep For Kaname Date" zu spielen.

Great game, Love the Ost and Characters. The feeling of investigating something so unusual and strange is thrilling. Aiba and Date have a very good dynamic with each other especially during the end. Not only aiba but mizuki aswell. All in all the games a 10/10 in my books just not a very long game, Love going to Atami.
