Acid Spy

This is a pretty fun stealth game with a simplistic aesthetic. It's all in first person and you can parkour all over the place. Your pistol gets 4 shots and only reloads when you get a knife kill. You can wall jump and slide, as well as hitting bounce pads later in the game, to traverse every stage. Most stages are set up in a configuration of arena > platformer > arena > platformer > arena. You have to kill all the guards in each arena before the door opens. Some of the platforming sections actually becomes fairly tedious and got annoying fast. They really felt like filler that required too precise jumping to feel fun. It's pretty short, I beat it in about an hour and a half in a single sitting. It feels a bit like a puzzle game because enemies will always spawn in the same spot and take the same route. You can find neat speedrunning paths to clear out sections with ease. The price is cheap and it's even cheaper on sale. If you want something similar to Severed Steel but wish it was a bit slower and more stealth based, this is the game for you.

This is an excellent use of $1 and 5hrs. Levels are satisfying in both a time-trial way, where you plot a course through the level to sprint from one stab-victim-in-waiting to the next like some sort of ♥♥♥♥♥ up batman, and in an improvisational way when you take a wrong turn and have to pick your victims on the fly. Soundtrack is cozy, minimalist style works well Parkour challenges are unfun while you'd doing them, but... I did end up using some of the parkour in the good parts of the game, and they didn't take very long... so mixed feelings about that I guess. double tap >>> headshots

Fast-paced, tough, satisfying, sneaky arena shooter. I recommend this game to fans of Dishonoured and Dusk alike.

This game is a good example on how a predefined set of good mechanics can be all a game would need. You know what you have to work with, and you can give in to the fantasy of a badass agent. It has very fun movement and parkour; though It does require some skill to master it, once you know how to do it, it becomes incredibly fun. In the end, I must say that this game serves as a great starting point for a bigger game project. Kudos to the maker/makers.

[h3] A Synthwave Assassin's Playground! [/h3] It’s a stealth action game that requires you to think and act like an agent on a tight timeline. The story is minimalist, in a good way. You’re dropped into a world of espionage with the task of eliminating targets in high-security, synthwave-inspired environments. You’re encouraged to avoid direct combat (though you can fight if needed), but the game rewards you for stealthy approaches with better times and smoother gameplay. The neon-lit environments are beautifully designed, capturing the essence of a dystopian future. The ambient sounds and the adrenaline-pumping soundtrack enhance the immersive experience. It’s synth-heavy, pulsing, and feels like an homage to the classic electronic music of the ’80s. I found myself nodding along to the beat while playing, which added to the immersion. If you’re into neon aesthetics, synthwave beats, and stealth gameplay, this is absolutely worth picking up. [u] Completionist: 3.5 hrs. [/u]

Great game with fluid movement and fun maps. I accidentally pressed R so many times and reset my progress after completing a mission, thinking this game had a reload like other games :) I had a small bug where I almost died to enemy, and my FPS camera rotated like 15 degrees until I restarted my map.

--Original Review: Outstanding game. At first I was annoyed to see a few platforming puzzles thrown in, but honestly they grew on me. Very fast paced. I never games like this that look a bit cheap, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that the gameplay is really fun. --Edit: Decided to edit my review. Still love the game. Acid Spy has really mastered the core loop of how I play any stealth game: enter an area, try to take out every one of the guards without being seen, repeat. And I love that it's very fast paced. It doesn't have much more than that, but to me, that gameplay loop is the most satisfying part of these games anyway. It doesn't need more, it's great. I'm always running out of space on my pc and having to uninstall games, but this one stays installed. Definitely recommended.
