The ship moves too far too easily. You will either crash into something, or miss the monster. I found myself using tiny taps on the movement buttons. [i]Need to move to the right, then tap-tap-tap-tap. Oops too far, tiny tap the other way. Damn too far ...[/i] I spent the entire game constantly tap-tap-tap; that's tedious. [*]Screen shake. The entire game world shakes when a monster dies. After a while I have a headache, and some nausia. Didn't see a way to turn shake off. [*]Don't feel progression. With each power-up, I swear the enemies seem to be shooting faster. I don't "feel" as powerful as I should after a power-up. [*]Sluggish mouse in the main menu. Unless the game is using full viewport redraw, there is no reason for a slow mouse. This issue has no bearing on the game play. Moving the ship with the mouse is not supported. Addictive and simple - Definitely worth the money!

A true old school scroller with some new school mechanics. You know when you play an old school game and you think "jeez I'm going to kill my buttons playing this" or "ah I wish I could have this ability sooner so I can enjoy it" well the dev seems to have spent many years pondering a many of these and made a genuinely fun game. I like to run it in a small window while I'm watching something and play but then get captured by the intensity and next thing I know I've made it to level four and since that takes some serious skill you just can't put it down. Cannot recommend this enough and it's so cheap off the bat.

A fast paced fun game. For around $2 you can't go wrong.
