An experimental short from the creator of To the Moon & Finding Paradise: A simple & surreal 1-hour interactive animation about a boy and an injured bird, told without dialogues. If you're looking for To the Moon-like experience, I'd suggest playing Finding Paradise first.

Played on an old account from way back. Still a very touching story.

I do not recommend this game for the simple reason that I cannot play it. I can start the game, I can see the intro menu, I can click on my language options, but as soon as I click on start, it shows the chapters and then somehow immediately cancels back to the "begin" and "exit" menu. I checked the FAQ of this game. (which in itself should tell you how finnicky it is by it's mere existence) No. I do not have an errant device. I work in tech support. I do this for a living. I tried two keyboards, I tried two mice, I ensured I had no other USB or bluetooth (yuck) device plugged in. Yet the issue persisted. This is literally unplayable. It's not hyperbole. I cannot play this game. For those of you saying it's because ASCII and Japanese characters, I can just point out that I run a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of japanese games without issues. This is just bad coding.
The ability to tell a story through pictures, whether it’s in a movie, a comic, or through the medium of photography, without the use of text or dialogue is an achievement in itself. Here, though, it’s done in the form of a video game, using an RPG Maker-like engine, and it’s absolutely jaw-dropping. I’ve seen this studio tell stories through words in some of their other entries, and those were already impressive, but here, they’ve done something else entirely. Does it reach the heights of the mighty To the Moon? Of course not. But that doesn’t make this game any less of an accomplishment. I firmly believe that this game could be used in virtually any art form as a means of teaching storytelling through the use of images and mimetic expression. There’s something truly special about what this game accomplishes. I’m honestly surprised that more people don’t talk about this video game studio’s body of work, because they’re genuinely a force to be reckoned with in the indie scene.
This is a game that's been sitting in my Steam library for over 12 years collecting dust. I have no recollection of ever purchasing this game, nor do I have any idea why I possibly would have purchased it. For a moment I actually thought it must be some kind of malware. Regardless, I played through it because I'm on a mission to beat all of the 140+ games I've bought on Steam over the years that I never got around to actually playing for some reason, and I started with this one because it was apparently less than two hours long. This game is under two hours long, just about an hour and a half, something like that. I can safely say that that is an hour and a half that I will NEVER get back. This game was actually so boring that I had to hit a literal goon sesh in the middle of the game just to not pass away of understimulation. The most wild part about it, is that the game is actually so brain dead that I actually gooned with my left hand while playing the game with my right and could simultaneously progress through the game with no issues whatsoever. Nothing that happens in this game makes any sense. It's about some fruitcake little guy who makes friends with a bird and then he flies around on a paper plane. For some reason there are two karens who are trying to take the bird away from him for some reason and they chase you around. Most of the game is cutscenes, and when it's not custscenes, it's a walking simulator. There is no dialogue, no side content, no combat, no racing, there's just nothing. Trash. I don't know if this was made for little kids or something, but it makes sense that less than 50% of the players who bought this actually finished it, despite it being shorter than a movie. Imagine 50% of people buying a ticket to go and watch a movie and then more than half of them walk out before the end of it. Did I really pay $4.00 for this? I would pay $4.00 to delete this game from existence.
