This is a genuine Game Boy game so take that into consideration for your expectations. It's story and game play is charming, chill and enjoyable. It has some platforming, puzzle solving and exploration aspects to it. If you're looking for something short and fun then this will be perfect for you. 2/10 + gameboy audio and look - cant rebind controls - almost nothing in this game. lost of empty space clicked on every single thing in the house multiple times, checked key on every locked door twice, and meowed at both people 100 times together. no idea what to do. cant go that way a dog, cant go that way a dog! locked door, locked door, locked door.

The characters are adorable, and the story about the divorce has this emotional depth that took me by surprise. I wasn’t expecting to feel so connected.

A Boy & His Cat is a short romp through a cute game with great story! I wish it was longer but it has a good message to it 10/10

It has pretensions of philosophical impact, but lacks any grace or weight. You aimlessly wander a home and its adjoined garden, interacting with obvious interactable objects, and the human child becomes happier. The human child denies the chance to expand his worldview or understand those around him, and finds contentment in regressing to his singular, individualist perspective.
