Before I recommended this game, I checked the price on the store page. At the moment, it's 50% off, so $7.50, normally €15. Personally, I'd say it's good enough at either price - I played through the campaign, three-starred every mission, total playtime about 7hrs. Just with that, I had enough fun to justify the game. There are, of course, caveats. The story is told in about a paragraph's worth of text at the start of a mission, the overarching story is... There, I guess. It's mostly an excuse. The graphics do their job, although infantry kinda blend into the unit blobs that tend to form and are hard to pick out. Harvesters have way too much HP. Also, instead of tiberium or whatever, there's oil derricks that basically work like Warcraft goldmines. It's a fun game, not amazing, but if you basically just want an experience similar to Command & Conquer's gameplay for some skirmishes, it's nice. It's absolutely amazing compared to C&C 4, but I'm honestly considering if breaking my fingers in a mousetrap would be better or worse than trying to play that game again. OTOH, weeks if not months of not using one or two fingers, but at least I wouldn't be playing the grindiest grindy RTS ever, I could read, or watch TV. But, back to 8-Bit Armies. It's C&C 1 with better graphics and basically no story. There's a bunch of missions, each mission has two extra objectives (although the second is mostly "do primary and secondary in limited time"), and completing extra objectives lets you start with more units and buildings pre-made at the start of each mission. If you're looking for story, well, better look elsewhere, but if you just want a few hours of really solid RTS gaming, this could be it! Only one faction in the base game, though, so that means thirty mirror-matchups. It does feel nice to stomp 8 clankers by just being better at macro, though.

Unbalanced Slop
A fun rts that takes a littel tacticel thinking and reasorce saveing tho diffcult even with beginner ai it can be done. It so retro i love it reminds me of the old rts game like kknd total anialation and even c&c all game of that franchise. Tho i had a hard time and lost alot it is fun the pixelated art and effcts is top notch.
