About

Zorro and Zedd have searched far and wide for the Secret entrance to their long lost homeland of the Bat-folk. They have caught the scent of dragon in the air, and are zeroing in on the location of the Great Gate of Dundalk. It is there that they will rid the land of the dragon plague and retake their homeland for the Chiroptera.

The Dragon King Octobatron has united the districts of Dundalk under his rule and hidden himself away within a sealed parallel dimension within the Dundalk Capital Court. Zorro and Zedd must slay the 13 Dragon Lords to unseal the portal to the Void, and take their chance to defeat the Dragon King for all Bat-Kind.

There are many terrible traps that the dragons have laid to punish intruders. You must slay all the dragons within the domes of terror to dispel their curse upon the land. You can spot them by their skeletal lanterns looming overhead.

The land of Dundalk is a mystical realm of Evernight. Travel throughout its nocturnal districts to seek out its secrets. Mallary, the Goddess of Dundalk, will be your guide.

Dragons are greedy creatures, they have sealed away their magic gems in treasure hordes across the land of Dundalk. Reclaim the riches of the land and use the magic within to unleash devastation upon your enemies.

Sacrifice the souls of the slain to unlock the ancient power laying dormant within Zorro, Zedd, and their mystical blade, a sword which was stolen from death itself. Mallary has constructed an outpost within the Capital Court where you can take refuge and increase your power.

This project aroused my interest and I had high hopes for it. However, my hopes were dashed in the first 20 minutes of the game. I decided to give this project a chance and get to the first boss, and then draw any conclusions. The biggest minus of the game is a mess of everything, where nothing is brought to a tangible level of quality, and in general - it creates the impression that the creator could not decide what he wanted from his brainchild. There are flavors of a cool vampire atmosphere, somewhat reminiscent of LK - Soul Eater, Defiance, etc., with the same faded, rotten colors, ancient ruins, incomprehensible runes and mystification, however - everything is spoiled by the frankly childish and cartoonish rhythm and gameplay, the general style of the enemy design. The gameplay and gameplay loops raise big questions, especially the need to search for gems to use them as ammo. It's unclear what needs such a solution should attract from players, but the interest in searching chests to get something that goes without saying and does not represent much gameplay interest is so-so. The most pleasant thing in this game is to move, run, jump, endlessly hover, spam a sword strike, etc., the speed and agility of the character is pleasantly felt, but there is also a nuance here. The first is the level design. You really get pleasure from moving when you move in the opposite direction of the level, that is, not when moving forward, but vice versa - backwards (for example, for a heal). If this decision was made intentionally - very much in vain. Again, combat. The character feels nimble, mobile, which makes him very strong in the early stages. However, later, the author decides to add projectiles with homing, which somehow nihilates the feeling of freedom. We give candy ourselves - we take it away ourselves. Well, and the last thing, which, as I understand it, is the last priority in this project, although it would seem - it should not. Narrative. Dialogues are devoid of coherence and meaning, there is no plot presentation, no disclosure of the world, and in general. The goddess has only one animation for everything, she herself is stylistically like a dryad from beautiful elven gardens, and not the Goddess of the Vampire Lands, and why she is presented in the game is generally unclear. A complete mess of everything, either the author wanted dark and mysticism, or wanted to make a comedy, or a roguelike, or a story-driven RPG with intrigue and story-driven design. And, unfortunately, these are not the kind of flaws, like bugs, that can be easily fixed. This is a crooked concept, ill-conceived architecture and a design from scraps of everything that inspired the author. And yes, it always bothers me when I go to the page of an unknown project and immediately find a certain number of positive reviews from people who have only a couple of products on their account. Either they are mediocre players (how can I trust the opinion of a person who has no experience behind him?), or these are fake reviews. I refunded the project, maybe if they don't abandon it in a couple of years - it will be interesting to see its future.
Played the demo a while ago on my Steam Deck, and it ran pretty well but was missing some polish. Tried the full release out on PC with M+KB, and the game looks and plays a lot better, The mapping is improved, and the movement feels great. I think there needs to be some more options for control mapping and mouse sensitivity though, since the defaults are a little whack, but it feels fine on a controller. Give this game a shot if you like fast and fluid movement and a cool aesthetic - combat is pretty broken when you combo in and out of melee and jumping, so you can blast through it without too much trouble.
Honestly this is a super cool game! If you're looking for the next game to play I'd highly suggest checking this out. Interesting concept and you can tell how much attention to detail was put into it. FIVE STARS :)
- Runs well on Steam deck - Generous with chests containing gems, which you need for the range attacks - Has cloud saves that actually work (how could it not with a developer name like "cloud control" games) - Gets you in the action right away. (Imagine needing to spend hours in cutscenes being force-fed lore while you have a manual of mechanics you need to learn, not here) - Cool animations for the gems. You can attack chests and the gems all auto-collect to your character - The soundtrack is pretty good and unique. Mixes in like ambient, dark, EDM-style, trap with like notes of DOOM at time - Super Mario 64 mechanics: drop shadow under character, jump and dash, 3-level health system - Sense of accomplishment from the big bosses - Still want to explore Dundalk more - I liek gems so I can buy items in da store - Pretty clear objectives and save system - Animations, models, effects, and sounds all come together well - Keep da gems flowing
This game is really fun if your looking for a not overly complicated game you can just turn your brain off and enjoy. The music is really cool and same with the other sounds and effects. It is on the easy side, but that's not really a bad thing, because its nice to get away from the hard and punishing games that keep coming out. Would recommend this game for sure if you're looking for a hack and slash game that is easy to get into! The movement feels great and I like bouncing around the game.
Tried the demo for this game awhile ago - and was very intrigued. It has a wicked atmosphere and great combat. Feels very polished now - like a true game release should. Going to keep playing now! :) (Would absolutely recommmend)
The music, aesthetics, and gameplay in Zorro and Zedd create an environment that makes you relaxed yet entertained. Coming from someone who does not frequently play single player games, I found it fun and not overly difficult learning the mechanics. Highly recommend this game if are looking for something a bit more on the chill side but still challenging at times!
I don’t usually leave positive reviews, especially for smaller indie games that are still finding their audience, but I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. It’s not that the game is flawless, few games are but what’s here is meaningful, well-crafted, and full of promise. It’s like someone carefully crafted a handful of puzzle pieces that not only fit together, but also form a picture worth looking at. Each area has its own charm and ambiance. While the world shares a consistent aesthetic, there’s a cohesion that makes it feel like a real, lived-in space. The compass works well with the design, no cluttered mini-maps or icons, just natural navigation. It gives a nice sense of exploration and memory. You learn the landscape by being in it, not by staring at menus. The combat is simple but satisfying. You use one button for both sword and bow attacks, which might sound odd but actually makes the flow feel smooth and dynamic. The dodge adds a fun rhythm. You end up weaving between enemies, striking and rolling like a dance. Some enemies are vulnerable to specific attacks, which adds just enough strategy without overcomplicating things. I actually appreciated how focused it felt you don’t need 10 different abilities to feel engaged. Progression is tied to collecting gems and souls, and while it’s subtle, I noticed my attacks getting stronger and my movement more fluid as I upgraded. Gems are used to enhance your magic powers, and while the abilities aren’t flashy, the improvements are real. Defeating bosses gives you a rush and opens up more of the world. The bosses themselves are distinct enough in behavior to be memorable, and none of them ever felt like a copy-paste job. Dying doesn’t set you back harshly, and thank goodness for that. Instead of punishing you, it encourages you to try again with a better approach. The levels are designed well enough that retracing your steps doesn’t feel like a chore; it feels like part of the journey. Enemies reset, yes, but it never felt like a grind. Just another opportunity to sharpen your skills and try out different strategies. The music is genuinely a highlight. The moody electronic soundtrack is atmospheric and immersive. It carried me through the game and set the tone perfectly for each environment. The sound effects are punchy and satisfying too. Collecting keys and orbs gives off a delightful chime that makes me smile every time. The game includes a double jump and some light platforming, and while it’s not a platformer per se, those mechanics are used creatively. The spinning cubes that launch you around are actually pretty cool once you get the hang of them they add a verticality that I didn’t expect. It’s not about tricky jumps but movement that feels good. The story is simple, sure, but it doesn’t need to be complicated. It’s the kind of abstract narrative that leaves room for interpretation while still guiding you forward. And honestly, I don’t need some 50-page lore book to enjoy a game. This one is about the feel, the moment-to-moment play, and it nails that. If you like a gamey game, something that respects your time and keeps you engaged through gameplay rather than cutscenes, this one delivers. I never once felt like I wasted my time. In fact, I kept hoping something else would happen and it did. A new area, a new enemy type, a subtle new mechanic. It’s a game that keeps unfolding the more you stick with it. And for the price? Absolutely worth it. I’ve played similarly priced games like Cavern of Dreams, Blue Fire, and Pumpkin Jack, and while I love them too, this one holds its own. Zorro and Zedd (still not sure which is which either!) may not be a household name yet, but it absolutely has heart and a vision. To me, this doesn’t feel like a proof of concept, it feels like a developer who gets it. They understand that building a game is about more than just technical function; it’s about player experience. Every mechanic here is intentional. Every choice, from the combat system to the environmental design, speaks to a developer who’s not just copying trends but crafting their own path. So kudos to the devs. If you’re reading this, thank you. Whether you’re a solo dev or a small team, what you’ve done here is impressive. It’s rare to find a game that feels both accessible and stylish, simple yet deep, and this one manages to be all of that. I hope more people give it a shot, because it deserves a player base that sees the potential and appreciates the journey. There absolutely is a point to it and I’m glad I took the time to find it.
A great game from a solo dev! There are critiques I would make to take this game from the fun experience it is, to an elevated top tier indie. The movement is extremely fluid and feels good! I do think the jumping physics are a little more "floaty" than I would prefer. I think the use of gems for ammo is a great mechanic, but I found the basic attacks were so good that I had very little need for me, personally. Visually, the game is extremely charming, with throwback visuals to the late 1990s and early 2000s 3d Platformers I grew up with an adored. It feels both nostalgic and fresh. I would recommend an editor for the writing -- there are great ideas in the text but they don't quite land as well as they could. I know it sounds like I'm being harsh, but my goal here isn't to dissuade folks from playing it, I intend to keep digging into it and playing it more! Its a ton of fun, the character designs, level designs and combat are great! That alone makes it worth it. Looking forward to digging more into the game in the future! (Oh, and the soundtrack is killer!!)
A fast, fun adventure worth diving into! I've played a few hours of Zorro and Zedd so far (plus some solid time in the demo), and it's been a great experience. The character movement feels incredibly fluid and responsive—zipping around the map is just plain fun. Combat is fast-paced and satisfying, with a nice variety of enemies that keep encounters fresh and engaging. Exploring the world of Dundalk has been a real treat. The map design invites curiosity, and I'm excited to keep playing and uncover more secrets. I'm especially looking forward to unlocking more magical powers to help take down the Dragon Lords! If you’re into action-adventure games with slick movement, cool abilities, and a bit of whimsy, Zorro and Zedd is absolutely worth checking out
