I'll keep it short: as much as you think it will be tolerable so you can finally play bootleg Zoo Tycoon on Steam, it's not worth it. I paid $1.69 for this and I'm going to refund it. I get it -- I love ZTCC and this looks uncannily similar. That is a deliberate choice in order to get those of us blinded by nostalgia to take a chance. I took the chance. Don't take the chance. The majority of this gameplay is truly just waiting for things to unlock -- and having access to everything in freeplay? That's not fun either. It all feels very... pointless. There are no challenges to overcome, there is no reward for building things, it is truly "Do this. Okay. Now do this," the game. My standards are not high but they do exist. If you want a cute lil management sim to fidget with, literally anything from Kairosoft will be there for you and far more engaging -- they even have their own take on a zoo game in Zoo Park Story. If you want a good zoo game, Planet Zoo is as good as it's gonna get, especially with the amazing turnout from the modding community over the years. If you want an isometric zoo-esque game, Megaquarium is right there. Or Parkasaurus! We have options now, it's 2024! Take that two dollars and treat yourself to essentially anything else... and definitely don't try it if it's not on sale.

It is a much simplified version of the old Zoo Tycoon from Blue Fang games. Graphics are minorly better, but the controls are somewhat confusing and the lack of selection of items is staggering. Fun for a hot minute, and not very expensive, but the OG ZT1 is much better.

Damn it. I think it should be a interesting game, but the font size of menu and options is too small to see on my laptop! There is no video option can change the game resolution. So I have to give up.

Tried to learn and play it, but just can't get into it. Slightly confusing.

游戏想法很好，但是实际呈现出来的效果很差，一方面是没有找到一个好的上手教程，导致一开始各种模块功能都要自己尝试，另一方面就是画面实在是太差了些，虽然游戏种类不同有些游戏我是可以接受较差的画质，但是我还是希望能在本作这种类型的游戏中看到更多的动物或者建筑的细节

[b]Pros[/b] + Mildly entertaining [b]Cons[/b] - Dated [h1]Overview[/h1] Zoo Park is an old zoo management / simulator game emulating the more well known and beloved Zoo Tycoon series with a simpler and streamlined gameplay as well as less detailed graphics. If you have previously played Zoo Tyccon then everything will very easily come to you as the game is set up quite similarly. The game is actually a rather ok zoo management game on its own, having the management formula down quite well and the systems functioning as they're intended. The only issue I had experienced were some UI menus being opened but somehow not being able to be closed the normal way. It has a rather subpar tutorial failing to explain some aspects of the game forcing you to learn a couple of things on your own such as what symbols mean on animals and enclosures, etc. Fortunately it isn't all that tough to learn quite quickly as it wasn't made to be complex. The game is definitely quite fun for what it is though it does not particularly challenge you and can be considered to be quite easy. Money doesn't seem to be an issue and raising your prestige through challenges is also fairly easy. After upgrading your Zoo to the maximum plot and getting all 40 animals there just isn't much more to do than relax and marvel at you complete zoo.
