Really wanted to play this but the Audio is all broken and doesn't play right. Straight up disapointment.
This is the only other game I've actually played through in VR besides Beat Saber. I picked this specifically because 1) I remember playing it as a kid and never beating it, and 2) VR and mech fighters feel like they were made for each other. Think about it: from a first-person perspective in VR, a mech cockpit is a perfect, natural interface and point of reference for your eyes. It's strange coming back to this as an adult. I remember getting through the first few levels before getting lost or stuck on a boss. I remember learning about bonus missions and secret boss fights through NG+ loadouts while watching my brother. I thought it was so cool that there was more hidden content, even though I could never get through all the normal content myself. As an adult, I hundo'd the whole game in 12 hours. I did multiple playthroughs, only skipping cutscenes on subsequent runs. I unlocked all the secret missions, did all the time/rank trials, and fought the secret bosses. Like, this game is weirdly short and packed with exposition. Is it possible I used to be bad at games? What am I gonna tell my grandchildren? I want to call out one bonus mission in particular, a parody of Gradius (1985). It's a tad janky. Enemy movement and gunfire are tied to frames, while yours are fully real-time. So modern high-refresh-rate displays are at a disadvantage, to the point of being impossible. After struggling on 90 Hz, I looked up a video guide and thought, "Why are they all moving so slow?". This part doesn’t really take advantage of VR anyway, so I switched to a monitor and locked my FPS to make it reasonable. Despite its length, if you have any nostalgia for the original on PS2, or you're into anime or wild Kojima storytelling, I'd say it's worth your time and money when it's on sale.
Godawful port and also Denuvo. No real updates to the controls, Doesn't recognize important inputs, crashes a lot, has audio issues etc etc etc
Despite my best efforts i for some reason cant get this game to launch, at all. vr, no vr it didn't matter it just didn't work. Sad. ZOtE:SR is really good I recommend the original its a G.O.A.T., but I cant recommend something that wont launch.
Zone of the Enders 2 builds on all the good things that the first game had and makes them even better. The combat is much faster, more aggressive and dynamic, it makes much better use of sub weapons, making combat seem more dynamic and responsive. Jehuty itself feels faster and more mobile and thanks to new sub weapons, there is even more variation in combat. I kept changing my sub weapons all the time, making each fight much more enjoyable, since I was utilizing all the stuff that was given to me, that sense of power is incredibly satisfying Beyond its gameplay, the story is surprisingly compelling. It talks about freedom, friendship, trust and what lies ahead for humankind. Even though the plot is quite simple, it is still captivating till the end The game's art style is superb parred with an outstanding soundtrack that will stay with you long after you've finished the game The best mecha game I've ever played What are we waiting for ? It's now or never Fear to see "The World to Be" Is why we hesitate
Fun game that reminds me a lot of the original. It has plenty of nostalgia from the first game!
Congratulations, Konami - gameplay-wise, you managed to make one of the most boring and most hectic games at the same time. You should patent it so nobody else will try to copycat ZotE. I actually really wanted to like this game, but unfortunately, cocaine is pretty expensive these days.
Zone of the Enders The Second Runner es uno de los mejores juegos de mechas y accion que jugue en mi vida. Corto pero muy divertido.
