SCAMMER MALWARE that tampers with your OS, with fake positive reviews and horrendous game design on top. First of all, "Play" in the game menu does not even start the game 90% of the time. Going into the options and then out results in a literal in-game bsod. Very funny, developer. Secondly, the game tampers with your OS. I have a laptop and I am using headphones. The game sounds are playing through the headphones, but the game music is playing through the laptop speaker. How is this possible? The answer is malware. The game's systems and mechanics are non-functioning, unfun and demand idiotic repetition. Most of the "content" in the game is locked with "Coming Soon" tagged over it. The levels are separated into three difficulty levels and they are also completely deceiving. An "easy" level can be much harder than a "medium" level. The developer has set up an account on ALL of the social media platforms for his early access pixel game. You can sense the rush of overexcitement from a "wholesome" bearded and chubby "bro" with glasses. He is waiting and waiting for some activity on those platforms to begin. Keep the money you stole from me, developer. Go buy yourself a vaping stick and a soylent. Really a waste of a name reminiscent of flash games.
Has tremendous potential and from what I was playing I was having a blast. It does have a couple issues nothing huge but they do create some frustrations. 1. When you have a huge zombie horde; and click a movement order often zombies further back will get stuck on pieces of the environment preventing them from catching up with the rest of the horde. This is problematic especially when it's a lot of your zombies stuck on a car. (Simple path finding solution) 2. On various missions zombies will be attracted to various vehicles within the parking, aka they're tethered so unless you're controlling them 24/7 it can make some missions more complicated than the necessarily have to be. Now additional features the game could use: The game has you choosing cities to attack the only difference between them aside from environment and enemy variant is the challenge the mission/city brings. What would be nice is if each mission or city presented bonus rewards and we knew what those were before choosing which city to attack, prompting us with more incentive between decisions. When it comes to controls I think they need some tweaking, while they're manageable. It would be nice to be able to "Edge pan" instead of using the mouse wheel, drag method as the only approach. "The game is super fun and there's tons of potential within this game. Many of the features are still not in the game, missing zombie variants, no crafting etc. The only thing in the game is the DNA tree for various zombies you do have access to and the shop where you can purchase abilities and special infected variants.
Great Game thats gotten better and better each update! P.S dont listen to the BS negative review i almost missed out on this gem because of it.. Glad i took the chance Game Has Great Bones! i only wish the killed zombies stayed persistant corpses after being put down!
Highly recommended for anyone who is into strategy games. As a fan of starcraft/warcraft/AOE2 I was surprised by how fun the difficulty curve is in this game, it seems very easy to learn at first but quickly ramps up with elements that make each level very replayable. I got caught off guard by the cute pixel art, thinking it would be a breeze after the first level, now I find myself replaying the same harder levels multiple times without regret to optimize my zombie spread. The gameplay loop is well executed and it shows they've put a lot of thought into it. As an early access game, I expected it to have some bugs and other issues, but the game is actually extremely solid, everything that is released is well tested and works. The early access really just focuses on the roadmap for all planned additions, and I am very excited to see what new changes and additions are in store for the game. Definitely worth it at the current pricetag, you won't regret it.
Only been out for like two weeks and it's been updated like 5 times, the game is getting crazy fast support really great to see for early access. Absolutely worth asking price, and runs on steam deck perfectly, good one to play while taking a ♥♥♥♥. Really addictive loop, infecting and building an army organically is really fun. I hate RTS games, this is a really good gateway for the genre with roguelike elements to keep me addicted. Would like to see some more improvements to qol and I'm a sucker for randomisation/generation for replayability but for v0.5 its in a great state, looking forward to 1.0. Also more maps please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get it while it's cheap, would be surprised if the price doesn't go up when it's done. Edit: the game has been updated a bunch already, super active devs!! New mechanics are great and balancing feels really good, goo rain is maybe a bit op...
wanting a nice chilled out zombie game thats a no brainer? this is the one, nice and easy to learn, no in your face party tricks like other games, just nice simple dome munching action to enjoy :)
A well-executed and unique concept. Excellent game-play and graphics. Absolutely worth the buy. If you love horror, puns and blood, this is the game for you. Can't wait to see what the future holds for ZG.
Absolutely worth the price, very fun and satisfying gameplay loop with a solid amount of variety for early access. You might have to actually use your brain when approaching some of the maps and placing your lil fat zombies. Big fan of Scabborough (♥♥♥♥ that beach). Can't wait to see what the future holds.
This game needs more of a spotlight. I love it! Keep going guys!
It's rough around the edges, but there's a great game here. Excited to see what future updates bring.
