It's like an alternate universe, where the Disgea team made Azure Dreams instead of Konami. So, I love it.

Good game. Played it a lot on PSP over a decade ago. I don't have the time for games like those anymore, where grind is put on top of grind on top of several New Game + cycles and even more grind. It's a fun and much more involved kind of grind than even Disgaea. It's a game made by min-maxers for min-maxers. + there is a story that starts like a very lazy parody of sentai-superheroes that gets a couple unexpectedly good twists in the second half. Typical anime storytelling—two good ideas hidden behind tons of tedious, mediocre graphomania. But gameplay is good for what it is, so if you have too much free time and enjoy dungeon-crawlers and min-maxing character builds—get this game.
Honestly pretty fun play through
Flat out the worst "classic" game in the NIS library. the humor barely makes up for the over the top generic idea of the story, the rate at which the main character grows stronger is so bad it makes Disgaea 6 look like an absolute master piece (which Disgaea 6 is the absolute worst game in their modern library to date) and simply put, i genuinely wish they would have let this completely outdated and worthless game stay in their past. and this is coming from not just a long time fan of NIS, but someone who has put over 10k hours across all the games i could find before nis ever posted the first disgaea remake on steam. to anyone who is reading this and thinks this looks like a good intro to nis games, you might as well just go back to playing the latest flavor of the week triple A game you usually play. you'll have way more fun and not waste 20 bucks on something that shouldn't have been put on this platform.
This is genuinely the NIS game I most want to play for the longest time but I never have a PSP. I'm really happy that finally I can play this game. So far it's as nice as I hoped, and nothing broken, so I'm good with this.
Got a Prinny wife

One of the funniest and just genuinely well written JRPGs I have ever played. It's a fantastic roguelike that I played way back in middleschool when it came out on PSP. The dialogue makes me laugh, feel related to and inspired. This game will make you feel so many positive emotions all at the same time in so many ways it's hard to describe in just one blurb. The game play is dynamic and gives incentives for taking risks because dying has experience bonus and exponential leveling. It's just a great time. Edit: Because obscure games like this can be intimidating or even hard to get into, I made a beginners guide to give you the best experience if you're new to NIS style games.
