Ally yourself with the right parties, build out your force, and protect the Orion sector.
A Caelo Ad Terram.
For centuries the Protectorate have been the stalwart defenders of humanity’s ventures through the Orion Arm, guarding against enemies foreign and domestic of the United Earth Spheres. As humanity’s galactic infrastructure teeters on the brink of collapse over a deficit of the resource “flux,” the Protectorate brings honed tactics and heavy firepower to bear. Field veteran commandos to deep strike enemy positions, or bring the heavy firepower of your mech divisions to break enemy lines.
Grow. Expand. Exterminate.
The Grell are a tide of highly evolved plant-like creatures that spawn sites of raw flux crystals through the galaxy, and humanity’s first contact with alien life. As external powers dive deeper into exploiting flux for faster than light travel, the once passive Grell have begun to flood across worlds, wiping out those who would threaten their biosphere. Expand your blooms by spreading the roots of your biomass across the battlefield, and rip apart your enemies with twisted evolutions from the acidic Harbinger to the rampaging Reaver.
Across a Million Worlds, We March.
The Legion of Truth are a fanatical empire from beyond the reaches of known space, devoted to their Emperor and a pantheon of god-like beings. Their armies crusade across the cosmos, bringing all in their path under the Idals, and purging those unwilling or unable to accept the voice. Drown your enemies with waves of expendable Thralls and Fanatics, and break your enemy under the treads of the titanic Terror Tank, a mobile fortress that can reconfigure with the tide of battle.
For Purpose. For Survival.
The Xol are civilization of autonomous robotic consciousness, brought to the brink of extinction by the dark crusade of the Legion. Though fiercely individualistic, they are united by one imperative: survival. As the tide of annihilation turns against them, the Xol will bring the most advanced robotics technology in the galaxy to bear, wield the accumulated genius of their society, and wipe out all who threaten their future.

Fun and an actually cool feeling RTS game. If you can find fun in an RTS game, just buy it and have fun. It's either that or you buy a McDonalds meal for £35 LOL.
So many bugs and missing content. $40 for this? Go buy something ready to play.
The new SC2, but with slightly more flavor. WIP though. Could eventually go either way, we'll see.

What stormgate wishes it could have been
Game reminded me of starcraft 2 was very fun and loved the massive battles did play up a few times but that's expected for early access and my old pc. A few thing's I hope they will change like more options in survival.
The Co-op alone is very neat compared to other RTSs. The Co-op missions are well done along with the galactic war map. The influence given by time gated missions needs to be adjusted if missions are going to be time gated. Time gated missions should give more influence and have higher difficulty as in their current state, they are too easy on brutal with modifiers. There also is no point to run those missions to gain influence if you can do another mission that you can complete in 8-10 minutes compared to time gated missions that are 18-19 minutes long. Perhaps there could be a way to speed up the time gate missions by having triggering events, depending on what the direction of the game is intended to go with these. Another suggestion is jumping into the middle of a faction's planets. There should be penalties associated with this, like increased difficulty, or unique modifiers that take place if they go behind enemy lines as long as a stronghold is not captured in that area. Once a stronghold is captured, those unique modifiers that dramatically increase the difficulty can either disappear until the home faction takes it back, or it can turn into beneficial modifiers to invaders who capture it, giving them an advantage in that area. If someone beats the unique modifiers, perhaps there could be huge increase in rewards for that as well, such as sabotage the influence that has been gathered within a stronghold while giving partial influence on the current planet as well? All in this would have to keep in mind the snowball effect however. Either or, Co-Op has been a fun experience so far and the devs seem to be very active and are listening to the playerbase's feedback.
So far its very fun and addicting. Actually takes me back to those SC2 days. The Galactic War is shaping up to be a great coop experience. Of course with anything there are flaws, like menu bugs and some connection issues that dont give you any info as to what failed or why... Other than some stuff that will be fixed in time its shaping up to be an awesome game series. Creating some crazy armies for coop, with some higher difficulties, and seasonal map rotations would be helpful for retaining players past the already cool campaign and survival mode. Regardless I cant wait to see this game in a few seasons and see what awaits us in ZeroSpace.
The art design is great, but the sound and feel of everything else is not on the same level. Combat feels like watching pieces of paper slap against each other, like I was playing a rts made for mobile. I know it's early access, but I think this has a long way to go in terms of sound, animation, environment, and gameplay design/implementation. Will happily flip this review if the devs deliver.
It is interesting RTS with alot to go. But hopes are big.
I love this game, if I had to describe it in easy terms I would say the philosophy is : "Wouldn't it be fun if starcraft 2 did X?" Biggest highlight IMO is the fact you get to fight from the start of the game. You will basically be looking at your army the whole game, managing the fight and acting more like a general and less like an accountant. Everything in the game encourages you to keep fighting as much as possible. The shortcut build menu and research menu (and Merge if you are Xol) are 1 key away at all time. Making it easy to replenish your armies at all times. The base building is far looser compared to SC2, just plop some buildings here and there and you're set ! No need to wait X seconds to put the next building in the tech tree, just put a series of building and everything will get built when the ressources or prerequisite buildings are done. The intent is to have you worry less about the base building and worry more about the frontline. Lotsa modes and lotsa fun, and it's only gonna get better as the performance issues and the bugs get ironed out. Oh and if you buy the game and play in the Galactic Way pick the Green faction. It is by far the greenest faction available, you won't get any green from the other faction that's for sure. I'll occasionally do Warhammer 40,000 Ork references in the Alliance Chat. Join us you coward !
