About
Welcome to Funnel Runners, where you will have your first on-site deployment with APEX Storm Monitoring Services.
A high-priority F5 tornado is approaching, and we are counting on you (and up to 7 fellow friends) to collect data, scavenge necessary information, and, of course, survive.

The weather is your worst enemy here. Tornados and storms will spawn randomly, grow stronger over time, and tear the whole map apart. Buildings will collapse piece by piece, and items will no longer be found in destroyed areas, so you must adapt quickly. Be careful not to be swept up by the wind; you may not be found again.

In this mission, you can team up with 7 other players or tackle it solo. Share gadgets, split up to cover more ground, collect necessary information and items to fix the van before the situation turns bad.
With realistic graphics and a first-person perspective, the experience brings you close to every gust of wind, distant siren, and falling piece of debris.

Scavenge the collapsing city for scattered vehicle parts, fuel, and tools. These items will allow you to repair your van and help you survive the storm. Each playthrough features randomized environments, weather, items, and problems to solve on your vehicle. No playthrough will be the same.

The game is OK. It definitely needs more time to cook, but right now you've got one map and one objective: fix a van and escape, either with up to seven friends or a group of randoms. I did have a lot of fun dodging acid rain, hail, lightning, fire and tornadoes. The atmosphere is great, and hearing people scream over the radio that a tornado is coming creates some genuinely fun moments. That said, I can see why the game starts to feel repetitive pretty quickly. If you get a really good group any normal difficulty normal or below will be done blazing fast. Instead of having every objective boil down to press E at the right time, it would be great to see more varied interactions, For example, cutting down a tree blocking the road, gathering materials to repair a drawbridge/bunker so the van can cross, or other side/main objectives. Right now, the only real timer in the game is the F5 tornado. Once it arrives, you're basically guaranteed to die within a few minutes unless you've already finished your objectives and escaped. It seems like they listen to the community and take feedback seriously along with the fact that they put ove into this game which you can see on the discord on the forums and in terms of feedback from players which is something I highly support. I'll revisit it now and then, fun to drop in and play a few match and call it a day. It can be played solo or multiplayer but need online connections as of now. Overall, I will keep my copy to support something that can Funnel into something beautiful. I randomly bought this on a whim because I was bored and liked tornado, was realy surprised at how well it is done. Here are some gameplay Diddy might not make it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxNxtfjskzc live gmaeplay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVZSqpyYSYc
I was drawn to Funnel Runners because of the tornado theme, but it's just another generic loot and extract game. The core gameplay loop is incredibly repetitive You basically spawn in an RV, run around looting nearby buildings, repair your vehicle, and extract. That's the entire game. The tornado isn't the main focus at all.. It just acts as a giant match timer pushing you to leave the map. Aside from checking the radar, you have no interaction with the weather conditions, you are just playing a standard looting simulator that happens to have a storm in the background. It gets old very fast. It has very great potential, but right now the tornadoes are just a massive hazard you spend the whole game running from and actively avoiding. Given the game's impressive graphics and dynamics I actually had pretty high expectations but the repetitive gameplay stands in the way like Mount Everest. Honestly I just wonder what it would be like if the game actually involved some real meteorological work or maybe storm-chasing missions?
I thought this game would be about storm chasing, its just repairing your broken down van and surviving tornadoes that happen to cross your path. the difficulties are weird to me, during a round i was on the easiest difficulty, but just trying to search one house there were three different tornadoes that would not leave, it was just annoying at that point. I see the vision of this game, and ill stick around for updates, but right now this game is just like lethal company, and all those other games.
played 2.2 hours already at the time of writing this. ive always been obsessed with severe weather and this game capsulates the feel of being stuck in a severe weather situation X10. the game has minimal bugs from what ive seen with only 1 that I noticed, that being one clipping issue during a tornado. the graphics are great, difficulty is fair and balanced, destruction is great and controls easy. definitely worth playing and a great early access release

I honestly don't even know where to begin, because I genuinely don't understand how it's possible to release a game this empty when it had so much potential. I discovered this game on TikTok and got incredibly hyped for it. I was so excited that I bought it with a friend on release, expecting an absolute banger. Instead, I spent 10 minutes repairing a van, turned the key, and thought: Finally, we're going tornado hunting. Then the screen faded to black. Session over.

I genuinely thought repairing the van was just the introduction. Imagine my surprise when I realized that it was actually the entire game. The developers clearly put almost all their effort into the graphics instead of the actual gameplay. And don't get me wrong, the game looks good. But honestly, at this point, you'd probably have a more immersive and entertaining experience playing a mechanic simulator. There are literally more achievements than there is content in the game.

And seriously, I have no idea what the people who enjoyed this game were expecting. Apparently, it really doesn't take much to satisfy some people. One thing is for sure: Don't listen to the positive reviews. They have to be bots, because there's simply no other explanation. On the other hand: Read the negative reviews. They will actually show you what this game really is.

Honestly, just stay away from this game for now. In its current state, this should be a DEMO AT BEST.
I had high hopes for the game but unfortunately it was quite a disappointing experience As other reviews have said, the game has a fantastic atmosphere. The problem is: That's it The gameplay is a poorly executed scavanging game at best, but for the most part, it feels more like a walk simulator. You only have 3 item slots and the items can take up 1 to 3 of them. This means, for example, if you have a defibrillator (uses all 3 slots) you can collect NOTHING more. Searching houses is also not complicated because you have everything lying around openly. No opening cabinets or anything like that. Weather events such as acid rain are unfortunately not interesting, but only annoying, because sometimes you can't do more than wait (unless you have an umbrella that takes up 2 slots). Conclusion: It seems as if they put a lot of work into the atmosphere but then forgot that they still need a game. The Tornardos (the actual hook of the game) tend to slip into the background in the course of the game and if you are in the van or an intact house, it is also relatively easy to deal with. I think the game clearly has potential that just wasn't used
Very low amount of content but basic idea seems nice. We'll waiting for a more meaningful updates to this game
I discovered this game through TikTok. I added it to my Steam wishlist and waited for release with a lot of hype, especially since I had no idea what to play anymore. I was already imagining all the hours of fun ahead. The game finally came out, I installed it, launched my first session, and at first it looked really promising. Watching houses, trees, and entire chunks of the environment get ripped apart and thrown into the air was genuinely impressive. I searched through the ruins, found some loot, and quickly ran into the first issue: the inventory is ridiculously small. Annoying, but not a dealbreaker. I carried everything back to the van piece by piece and started repairing it. Once I was done, I got in, closed the doors, started the engine, and thought: "This is awesome. I'm finally going to travel from town to town, survive, scavenge, upgrade my van, and explore a world destroyed by tornadoes." Fade to black. Session complete. That wasn't the end of the tutorial. That was the game. I've rarely felt this disappointed by a release. The worst part is that the game isn't terrible because of bugs, performance issues, or technical problems. It's disappointing because there is almost nothing here. The entire concept is built around an idea that sounds incredibly fun, but the actual gameplay loop is so shallow that it becomes repetitive almost immediately. The trailer, screenshots, and premise make it seem like you're about to embark on a long survival adventure. Instead, it feels like you've played through a proof of concept that was accidentally released as an Early Access title. The tornado destruction is cool for the first few minutes. Then you realize that's pretty much the entire experience. Loot. Carry loot. Repair van. Repeat. There is no depth, no meaningful progression, no real sense of exploration, and nowhere near enough content to justify the price in its current state. Every time the game started to make me think something bigger was about to happen, it simply ended or sent me back into the same repetitive loop. What's frustrating is that the potential is right there. A co-op survival scavenging game where you travel across dangerous areas while tornadoes tear everything apart sounds like an easy recipe for hundreds of hours of fun with friends. Instead, it feels like the foundation was built and then the rest of the house never showed up. I genuinely hope the developers can turn this around because the idea deserves better than this. Pros : Cool destruction effects Great concept The first 15 minutes make you believe you're about to play something amazing Cons : Tiny amount of content Extremely repetitive gameplay Barely any progression Feels more like a demo than an Early Access game Wastes a fantastic premise Recommended? No. If you're looking for hours of fun with friends, or expecting Lethal Company with tornadoes, keep looking elsewhere. You're going to spend more time imagining what this game could have been than actually enjoying what's currently there.
