About

Brilliant, burnt-out, possibly cursed – you play as operant Hershel Wilk, alias CASCADE. Five years ago you led your team into the abyss and have been haunted by your failures ever since. Now you've been recalled for a mysterious assignment that may give you a chance to prove yourself again.

Uncover secrets hidden in the lost corners of the city and within your own mind. Navigate a murky world of potential informants and adversaries. Pass skill checks to uncover their true motivations through subterfuge, violence, or deduction. As an operant, there are multiple ways to approach every problem - your choices and methods will be your own, and so will the consequences.

Find yourself thrown into a three-way struggle for cultural and ideological power, played out across an unforgettable city. You'll go up against international bankers, foreign techno-fascists, psychic doppelgängers, a paranoid TV presenter, a man with a box for a heart, and dozens more. Everyone you meet has their own agendas, beliefs, and secrets for you to uncover and turn to your own ends. In ZERO PARADES, even the world itself is a character with its own secrets, traumas, and miracles for you to discover.

Operants subject themselves to years of psychological training to hone their minds into their greatest weapons. Do you favor animal-like reflexes, a philosophical approach, or a different cover story for every occasion? Through Conditioning, you'll turn the deepest aspects of Hershel's identity into potent abilities and unlock new paths forward. You can even change the rules of the game itself.

Pressures simulate the physical and psychological toll of being in-theatre. Exertion pushes dice rolls in your favour – just remember that you’re gambling with your life. Keep your Fatigue, Anxiety, and Delirium in check or deal with the long-term repercussions.

In this line of work you're going to fail way more often than you succeed. That much is expected of you. What matters is how you pick yourself back up. If the dice don't go your way (and they won't) you'll have to improvise and hope the consequences are ones you can live with.

Traded a pack of cigarettes to a talking monkey for a technologically advanced fleshlight. 10/10
I experienced a bug early on which launched me into a conversation with a character I clearly wasn't supposed to meet yet. It spoiled a lot of the game for me. Unacceptable to release a story-driven video game in this state.
Excellent game, the writing was great, the voice acting was lovely, and there were some really brilliant moments, just like in Disco Elysium. I really liked the spy theme and the atmosphere of the world. Couldn't really notice a decline in quality in any of those areas. But there were also some things. that could benefit from further improvements: - Many important difficult tests had no "fail forward" scenario so you just had to re-try them over multiple days to proceed with the game. - The clothing system pretty much worked against the philosophy of the game making you do lame frequent min/maxing to be able to avoid re-taking the tests mentioned above even more. - The ending was a little bit chaotic, it wasn't clear from a gameplay perspective what you can still do, what is already blocked and how you can use what you have prepared (your character would know, but the game structured it strangely). - There should be more "waiting" possibilities enabled in the beginning. I know it would make the stress system a little bit easier, but otherwise you had to cheese it with fake time-consuming activities. All in all, I think most of the things could be corrected with some patches or a definitive edition or something, there was nothing inherently wrong with the game itself, just some more adjusting to be done for a perfect experience.
Recruited a beetle which saved my life.
FOR CASCADE ALL WILL BE FORGIVEN
Absolutly amazing game! Story and narrative are great, simple mechanics and very many choices that alters the story. Whoever voiced Cascade's inner voice shoudl get an award. The final mission is awesome, Highly recommed!
Очень даже неплохое продолжение
Controversy aside, it's a great game with superb writing and really interesting ideas to explore. It features meta-musings on what constitutes a copy versus an original, and discussions on cultural domination and the soft power used to control rival nations. It's about overcoming past mistakes and facing the risk of repeating them just to get a better result. It’s sad to see the developers get sacked because of absurdly weak marketing and the constant negativity perpetuated by so-called Disco Elysium fans, who will criticize this game for the pettiest reasons yet praise some absolute Reddit-tier dogsh!t like Esoteric Ebb. I'd say this game does some things better than DE and others worse, but it's still a really good game that you should try.
