Kidnapped and taken to an unfamiliar location, nine people find themselves forced to participate in a diabolical Nonary Game by an enigmatic mastermind called Zero. Why were they there? Why were they chosen to put their lives on the line? And more importantly, who can be trusted?

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Sep 4 → 2.71/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Absolutely amazing, I have been disappointed with many games, but not this one, not once.

“Tu fui, ego eris.” Despite the departure in quality with the 3D models in VLR (you get used to it, however) I still find the plot and puzzles in VLR to be a lot more interesting. That is not to say I haven’t enjoyed 999 (snake being my favorite character in the series), it had the same internally consistent writing but struggled, in my opinion, to sustain the element of mystery after a certain point. Conversely, you could ask yourself “What’s the most unlikely thing to happen/be revealed?” and you would arrive at one of the many plot-twists in VLR (I inadvertently guessed Zero’s identity pretty early on through that line of thought). What I really feel sets VLR apart from 999 is its creative use of the flowchart as a meta-narrative device, that was genius. One of the best death games out of the three death games in the market.

buenisimo
goty
Just finished 999 and it was a fantastic experience. In few spots might be wise to suspend your judgment and let it carry you, to fully enjoy it, but I think it's worth it. Will update this if/when i'll manage VLR.
