Zelene Lux: Spirit Notes

a fun hidden object / puzzle game - I was in on the beta testing and enjoyed it a lot - the magnifying options made it possible for me to play (with my impaired vision) and have fun - take a break with this game, relax, and enjoy!

I was fortunate enough to be invited to test this game; the passionate folks at IKI Games usually create great match-3 games (e.g. DragonScales, Spooky Dwellers among others), so this strays from that style, just like "Claire Darksage..." did. This is more like a collection of diverse mini-game genres, including a hidden-object/hangman hybrid, jigsaws, strip-swaps,etc. Expect to spend between 4 and 5 hours to complete the game and get all achievements. It's both relaxing and engaging. No time pressure, but you will have to use your grey cells, especially if you enable the "Soul Stability" feature to make the HO scenes slightly harder. It's a bit spooky due to its spiritual context. I'm already hoping for a sequel !

i was a tester for this game. I really enjoyed the hangman puzzles with hidden objects to complete each step of the story. You can make the choice of which level to play to challenge yourself. It's fun when you win with great graphics to celebrate each puzzle solved.

I really like the hangman style hidden object parts, it was unique and fun. There was a slight hick up getting the achievements to work on linux. It was user error and all I needed to do was update to the newest proton. I wish there was alittle more to the story, and I hope they do more like this in the future.

Special thanks to IKIGames for allowing me to beta test, and for the early access code. Interesting take on the HOG genre, where all the HOS have you finding the correct letters to complete a phrase. There are 6 regular "chapters" and a "boss level" chapter. In the regular "chapters" your goal is to rescue a person who has been trapped by the evil spiritual leader. Completing one of those chapters unlocks a puzzle in the "boss level" chapter. Additional bonus items to find in every HOS. Every regular chapter has 3 HOS, and 5 other levels, which are mostly jigsaw puzzle variants, but there's a rearrange the pieces to form an image game too. The "boss levels" in the boss chapter are things like putting items into order, a logic puzzle, and a math puzzle. Every 2 boss levels completed brings up another minigame where you have to remove all the matching pairs from the symbols displayed on the playfield in order to defeat the boss. In between levels, you can use your gold coins amassed from playing to reconstruct a sanctuary room as an oasis from the evil leader's mansion. It's not a difficult game to play at all, unless maybe you pick the "soul stability" hard mode where there is a mistake counter for clicking on incorrect letters in the HOS and making too many mistakes forces you to start the scene over. The rest of the puzzles have no mistake counter no matter what difficulty mode you choose. If you want 3-4 hours of chillax time and something a little out of the ordinary for a HOG, it's OK. I personally prefer the other HOG IKIGames made though (Claire Darksage and the Accursed Objects).

Okay well see, this one doesn't have the freaky perfect/plastic AI people look. I can finally look at people again... That's besides the point. This game uses less of H.O. scenes and focuses more on mini-games. Which is completely fine by me. The H.O. scenes -> You find letters first and then find the item. Moons too and that's it. Puzzles are varied: Jigsaw, panel ones... And then you gotta solve 6 riddles per 6 people. The first one was a beep. I heard they made it easier... But eh... Just don't do it when you are sleepy/can't think straight? I think the game is fine. I don't really have much to complain about. There isn't much story either. Oh well. It's something different to try I suppose. The game works and nothing gets stuck. That's actually a great thing... Compared to some other H.O. games out there. >.> I'm curious anyway, so if you want to make more games, I'll take a gander. ^-^
