About

You Shouldn't Be Here is a short psychedelic visual novel that takes place in a strange world filled with harrowing creatures. You’ll meet Dimitriv who is willing to keep you safe as long as you help him with something.
The story touches on topics such as mental health, exclusion, and various other existential questions.
The gritty pixel-art, together with the somewhat erratic and despairing soundtrack, intends to create a dreamlike, bordering on nightmarish, atmosphere.

In the shape of the infinite, I am one.
Swallowed by an ocean of bliss.
No choices to be made,
no stories to unfold,
no riddles to solve.
No, nothing at all…

You really shouldn’t be here..

Surreal and mysterious if never really creepy visual novel about grief and the weight of our responsibility towards others. Neither too short nor too long, the fun layout of words and images as well as an affecting personal touch keep what's mostly an average exercise in therapeutic art from feeling dull. For the price it's offered I'd say you may as well check it out but you're not missing out on much either way unless this sort of thing is Really Your Jam.
A pretty harrowing short story about addiction. Great art and an ominous soundtrack. Ends on a slightly hopeful note, maybe? But overall... dark!
This game has one of the best crafted jumpscares I've ever fallen for. A little poop came out but I couldn't even be mad. 10/10.
A tidy little horror experience, Glad I got this, it's a special kind of game, def' the result of the dev' having a story to tell and telling it their way. Whole game felt like a fever dream but I found myself slowly being more and more drawn into the narrative and once I (think) I understood what was happening I was actively enjoying my time with it. Would recommend, simple point and click driven narrative with a clear path of progression but oozes charm. And uses poetry to drop exposition in a way that almost makes you want to go back reply afterwards, which i'd imagine, is what anyone with more than an hour or soo did, and rightfully so! There are some pretty heavy themes though so proceed with caution.
This was a great game. Just read, point, click. Easy to play but subject matter is not for everyone.
Brilliant and hit pretty close to home.
A really well written, poignant and anxiety fueling visual novel about existentialism, the constraints of society, and the struggle to fit in when you're not considered "normal". It's short and sweet, really worth the $2. Lovely art too.
Next time you read poems that don`t rhyme from a junkie, who keeps speaking about gods, everloving, cosmic relavance and stuff, tell him to fcuk off already. Gosh. All these whinings.
The mouse button as a confirmation and skip at the same time should be changed. Its an atmospheric game that focus on story telling with philosophical aspect in life. Nice story 8/10
