Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 31 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

You Shouldn't Be Here is a short psychedelic visual novel that takes place in a strange world filled with harrowing creatures. You’ll meet Dimitriv who is willing to keep you safe as long as you help him with something.
The story touches on topics such as mental health, exclusion, and various other existential questions.
The gritty pixel-art, together with the somewhat erratic and despairing soundtrack, intends to create a dreamlike, bordering on nightmarish, atmosphere.

In the shape of the infinite, I am one.
Swallowed by an ocean of bliss.
No choices to be made,
no stories to unfold,
no riddles to solve.
No, nothing at all…

You really shouldn’t be here..

Nice game. Don't do "angel's milk" but if you do, ask for help so you don't end up like Dimitriv. Be safe ya'll.
A game for the person of many faces who has lived in my DMs for the last twelve years.
great story, a bit short but well worth the price i say. also its more of an interactive novel then a "game" which isn't a bad thing at all, just a matter of taste. it has big H.P Lovecraft vibes and i LOVED every moment of the very strange story. very well made for the price

The mouse button as a confirmation and skip at the same time should be changed. Its an atmospheric game that focus on story telling with philosophical aspect in life. Nice story 8/10
I enjoyed it, it might not be everyone's taste, with the deeper meaning, As an artist and some what wanna be game dev, I enjoyed the story telling experience and pixel art. The art direction was my favorite thing about it, and really nailed down the vibe. More of a story then a game, so keep that in mind. I think it's worth the buy if your looking for something a little different and want a thought provoking journey.
I love these kind of games, where the developers surley snorted some drugs, just to tell me don't do drugs! And also stay away from junkie poets!

Mechanically, there's almost nothing going on: You wander; you watch; you listen. If you're expecting any action or big, narrative payoffs, you won't find them. What You Shouldn't Be Here does have is atmosphere. Some of the writing is cryptic and foreboding; none of the story is happy. For the hour or so you're here, you're in a psychedelic dystopian fever dream of despair. Its visual design does most of the heavy lifting: everything looks off and hostile and the buzzing, humming audio keeps that uneasiness going (though it never really escalates beyond "uneasy"). It a restrained sorta spooky; more like remembering a bad dream than experiencing outright horror. Not much to really unpack, but for the time and money, it is a worthwhile experience. Very cool visuals, music, and design in general. The aesthetics are amazing. The writing was good but became to on the nose, repetitive, and edgy as the game went further. The writing could have done with less as the poems and the imagery convey the theme well enough. The repetitiveness, and edginess spoil the themes. I didn't like the trope of the looser stoner being far beyond everyone else especially the sheep like religious consumerist folk -as the stoners go to kill themselves mind you. This flaw of the addict being closer to God than everyone else whilst also constantly consenting to self destructive behaviour then the hand waving of any improvement of the self poisons the games theme. The game is better than anything I'll ever create however and is well worth the price.
The story was interesting .
