Nice game
没有战斗的类恶魔城也好好玩哦
playing yoku's island express feels like playing a kids' storybook from the 80s or 90s, both mechanically and visually. it's got a creative and varied setting paired with relatively low gameplay stakes (you can't really die) and a nice tropical-themed soundtrack that really brings the island setting home. if you're looking to have your flipper skills tested to the fullest it isn't quite it, but that also probably makes it a nice approachable game for people who aren't experienced with pinball, and i can hardly complain about that with how enjoyable it all is to go through i would say the inability to "lose" does feel like it takes away from some of the later sequences. when there are no mechanical stakes it makes even the intense things that are trying for a sense of urgency kind of feel like games of attrition. most people would probably prefer that to losing over and over though, so if you're okay with an easier game overall with low stakes i think this game is well worth giving a try

one of the most charming games i've played. didn't really love it at first because i'm a keyboard player but the characters, story, music, and art are all so good. had a lot of fun with this!
I slept on this game because, pinball mechanics in a Metroidvania? But I decided to finally give it a shot, and I'm SO glad I did. It's one of the most fun games I've played in a long time. Not terribly long, interesting mechanics, well paced, and just an overall joy to play. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly encourage you to do so.
Very charming and fun pinball based metroidvania. No combat, just exploration and completing quests. Pinball mechanics are unique and well implemented. Nice artstyle and music, funny dialogue and interesting and strange story and worldbuilding. Took me 20 hours on the dot to beat but there's a bit more to do if you want to 100% it. Definitely recommend if you like metroidvanias and want a unique take on the genre.
