XING: The Land Beyond

Liked: Good puzzles Good story Different kind of thinking... Disliked: Can't save games so can't go back to particular levels (wasted time...) End puzzles way too easy, childlike... Finding one letter (the "i") was really haphazard. No logic.

Bardzo ładna i spokojna, gra logiczno-platformowa :) Cztery główne i kilka pobocznych historii ludzi, przeplecionych zagadkami środowiskowymi z użyciem pory dnia, deszczu, mrozu i wiatru. Niedługa, za to okraszona naprawdę ładną grafiką i muzyką. Taka krótka przygoda na kilka godzin, ale na spokojnie, bez pośpiechu z satysfakcją na koniec. Polecanko, 9/10.

I enjoyed this early on, but ultimately the insipid storytelling (rhyming couplets are literally never a good idea), awful first-person platforming, and puzzles with increasingly complex and annoying execution requirements (time spent solving puzzles should be spent thinking, not running around a level to implement a solution!) dragged it down. A good effort with good vibes, but ultimately not a recommendation from me. There's a solid core here, though, and If they try again and release another game in this vein, I'd check it out in the hopes that they've learned from their mistakes.

1 reason for the negative review: last puzzle, steps of akasha, at the top, might be the last puzzle. Got stuck in the enviroment, as it happens in these kinds of games, alright, no big deal it happens, all I can do is restart. IT TURNS OUT IT RESETS YOU ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LEVEL. WHY?? Why doesnt the game save at every section?? No way I climb again to the spot I was forced to restart, I hate games that waste my time. Solid puzzle game but I left with a very bad taste in my mouth.

Way too many puzzles for me, but a pretty cool VR experience.

Wanted to play this in VR. Tried two different Headsets. The game always crashes at launch and is therefore not playable.
