Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

xcom top as always, this one is faster, but I prefer original one
This is a tepid endorsement. There is fun to be had here if you're looking for it. Some of the squad members introduce interesting and fun mechanics and the game is built on a lot of excellent design choices from previous entries in the franchise. That said, it is also plagued by a design philosophy of 'smaller and more specific' which doesn't serve the game format well. I can see the aims they were having in that missions should be less daunting than they were in X-Com 2 in which individual missions can easily run more than an hour, but the ways that Chimera Squad has tried to solve the challenge of shorter missions by breaking them into breach stages and smaller battle maps often feels like trying to do math homework through a keyhole. As well, limiting squad size and roster both by number and to specific preset individuals was a big misstep as instead of reducing the number of design problems to solve, it increases it, like replacing a crescent wrench with an array of bespoke tools, some of which were just aped from previous games (and no longer relevant) and some were specifically designed to be sine qua non. To say nothing about how dull all of the personalities were. The only place where Chimera Squad exceeds previous entries is in story - not in quality, but volume. And it's not very good, either. A lot of blathering about nonsense when all I want to do is move my little toy soldiers around the board. It's an interesting setup and concept for a story - how does a post revolutionary society reintegrate and find some kind of normalcy after toppling of authority structures - but the story they decided to tell was thin and dull. Plus it was a game about being cops that came out in 2020. Bad timing that.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

like xcom2 but with necromunda order of activations
A fun turn-based squad tactics game if you go in with the right expectations. I pretended it had nothing to do with the 'real' XCOM story. First, the bad: the writing, voice acting, and characters are annoying and cringe. If you're going to make a game that uses heroes instead of random grunts, then the heroes better be interesting and well-written! Other parts of the game feel incomplete or padded. Ex: the android tech tree and android gear are useless. But the actual missions are fun as an 'XCOM lite' tactical experience. The game's central mechanic is breaching and entering rooms, and each missions has 1 or more rooms to clear. You select the entry point(s), breach order, etc. Props to the devs for creating yet another way for an XCOM game to **** you over with RNG. But even though it's a cool idea, the breach + enter mechanic carries a lot of the game's weight, more than it probably should, because it feels like they ran out of other 'big' ideas. A few other twists: you can capture enemies alive for a chance to get more intel resources at the end of the mission. I like this mechanic because it gives you another option instead of overkilling an enemy who has a few HP left. Instead, you can leave them alive and have another unit move forward and capture them, which helps with positioning. Another major change is that instead of moving all your units during your turn, there is an order system. Your unit moves, then the enemy, then your unit(s), etc. This makes the tempo different from other XCOM games but it fits with the type of combat situations you're in. In conclusion, this game is better than I expected and fun for one, maybe two playthroughs.
More linear than the main XCom games but a lot of fun.
As an experimental budget X-COM title, I really enjoyed my time with it. It's much smaller in scope but has some interesting ideas that help mix up the formula. It's worth a playthrough even if it won't dethrone X-COM 2 as the definitive X-COM experience. I personally think that the world-building in this is one of its strongest qualities, and the soundtrack is an absolute banger, too. The game can be pretty buggy, however. My ironman playthrough suffered from Terminal permanently losing her Gremlin, so I had to play the final 2/3rds of the game without a functional medic.
Was laying around for quite some before I've checked, what a mistake. Somewhat repetitive, but at the same time a very descent X-COM experience. Also shot probabilities feel much more correct, unlike other X-COM games, where you have 3 in a row 70% chance to hit - all misses.
