About
Citizens from either side of an ongoing war must set aside their differences as a mysterious alien invasion threatens humanity – time has come to a stop for all but your small band of freedom fighters. Caught in a seemingly endless loop, you must shape these ordinary civilians into heroes as they repeatedly fight and die in this turn-based tactical roguelite. Real-time exploration, stealth, and teamwork are essential as you acquire new skills, seek out more powerful weapons, escape the time loop, and save the world. Welcome to the resistance!

Countless lives hang in the balance, frozen in time as the alien Rifters seek to harvest the world’s resources. Your group of three have somehow escaped that curse, only to suffer something worse – every time they die, time resets. Or so it seems.
Take on a variety of mission types to thwart the alien invaders – shut down their harvesters, defuse their bombs, and take out their occupying troops to gain the skills you need and secure victory. Will you attempt secondary objectives to save other civilians at the risk of losing your progress? Or will you sacrifice the lives of those frozen in time in the interest of advancing towards your ultimate goal? With every new time loop, newly acquired experience and skills remain, and with every death, your band of civilians turn into hardened war veterans.
Explore the multiple districts of your wartorn city, seeking out weapons stashes and uncovering hidden equipment that will better prepare you for what comes next. Anything you discover in one loop is available to you from the start of the next, fundamentally changing your approach. Use more advanced weapons, modifications, and gear to defeat the enemy more handily, in turn gaining access to even more powerful tools of the trade.
Take on the Rifter leaders in challenging boss battles that place your fighters on the back foot. Harder to kill, heavily armored, and dangerously armed, these leaders hold the key to this war – every time one falls, the time loop shifts forward, bringing the forever war closer to an end.

War is unforgiving and relentless, and every opportunity must be taken to secure the upper hand. Your tactical prowess will be put to the test when the bullets start to fly – armed and positioned appropriately, allies can work closely together to assist one another, interrupt enemy movements, and bring about a quick end to challenging circumstances.
Study the enemy you’re facing, sneak around the battlefield to obtain an optimal position, and seek out any opportunities to use the world around you to your advantage.
Take direct control of every shot as you aim down the sights, find where your target is weakest, and unleash a hail of bullets. Hit chances are determined entirely by your positioning, your aim, and your reaction time, with ballistics taking firing angles and obstructions into account as your targets run and duck for cover. Will you trust your aim with a sniper rifle, spray and pray with a submachine gun, or get up close and personal with a trusty shotgun?
The action never stops as your resistance fighters can react to both friend and foe across turns on either side, beyond their usual action point limits. Every individual has access to unique reflex actions to intercept enemy movement and assist allied kills, or to scramble away from enemy fire. Will you reserve your reflexes for defensive maneuvers when things take a turn for the worse, or will you use them to apply constant pressure on the enemy?

The arrival of the Rifters brought the world to a standstill, but life goes on for your fighters. Uncover their checkered pasts as they learn to work together. Unveil the mystery of the alien invaders and their control over time as you fight through the streets of a once-beautiful city to reveal the full truth about the war. Your resistance grows stronger with each success, and with each failure – after all, death is only the beginning.

TL:DR: An interesting turn based tactics game sprinkled with crippling bugs. This game is a fun idea. It works like Pheonix Point (XCOM, but you actually aim which I like far more than "99% point blank oops you missed"). The story is good, the graphics are fine, the voice acting is enjoyable. The systems work and tactically it's where I'm good enough but not falling asleep. There is a crafting system that the game could loose without losing anything of importance and a modding system that I find interesting. The game itself has two mayor flaws for me. I really don't like the art style of the cutscenes. It looks a bit off and is too static. Often times the facial expressions on the cartoon characters don't really match the dialog. The boss fight of act 3 is designed to be annoying as heck. You're supposed to completely destroy the armor of the boss. Every last bit. The problem is: Which parts did you already break? Everything is blue. The functional armor parts are a bit more light blue. That doesn't help if the visually still armored shoulder is not armored and you are stuck with trial and error while the boss happily shoots at you from point blank simply because you have to be close to get the damn armor without killing her (I killed it and failed, sniperrifle took the arm-armor and the arm and the boss died of shock). Now for the deal-breaker: My first mayor contact with the game was me loading a save and finding out that the game couldn't load it. No fallback, no "start at the beginning of the level, something went horribly wrong" - it was "start over from the very beginning, your save is shot to hell". This kind of overshadows the whole experience because every time you load you wonder if this is the time where your whole playthrough get's nuked from orbit. Luckily for me this was directly after the tutorial, so nothing of value was lost and it didn't happen again. Then came the boss fight. I saved. The game did not eat my save, but instead one of my guys got reset to level 1. That's 33% of my fighting capacity, right there. It did not joke, after I failed the mission he stayed Level 3 (must have gotten XP from somewhere). I don't even know how stuff like this can happen. I'd have understood if the whole team got erased, but he suddenly was level 1 without a weapon. A reset later and he is still level 1 but has his weapons back. I cannot and will not recommend a game that can't get basic saving and loading right. I really hope they get this under control, because Every Day We Fight really is fun if you like this kind of game.
I've got this game for 50% off and still feel it was too expensive... I have finished the game after 11 hours of fairly bland and boring gameplay. Weapons upgrades and crafting are basically meaningless. The story in itself is kind of fun and the time travel / parallel worlds mechanic does explain the "respawn" of the main characters. The surroundings are eery and creepy. But that is basically everything positive I can say about the game. I haven't run into any game breaking bug, but with as little story there is, I am not surprised. Don't get me wrong, it isn't a bad game, just an overpriced one.
English: For people like me who love turn-based games because they’re more relaxed to play than, say, a first-person shooter or a racing game, this game isn’t a good fit. This game requires the player to use both hands at all times to perform all sorts of actions. It’s not possible to play the game using just the mouse, as is the case with many other turn-based games. So anyone who was already frustrated by the fact that newer games in classic genres like X-Com have been optimized too heavily for controllers won't be happy here either. Outside of combat, you use WASD and similar keys to move around, and even during combat, you’re forced to use the keyboard to trigger certain actions, such as holding your breath (which is even more absurd because you have to hold down the key). Furthermore, it’s not possible to end a round without holding down the Enter key. So if, like me, you usually sit back in your chair, one hand on the mouse and the other propping up your head—or whatever the case may be—let me tell you, that just doesn't work here.
aweful ui and controls, combat is sluggish and slow. a lot of jank in the movment and controls. wanted to like it but i really just dont. 2/10
This was a solid turn based tactics game; the live aiming feature was an excellent addition. The length of the game was however disappointing - I finished the game in 12 hours, which should have been "act 1".
Interesting premise, nice art. Played 3 hours using the default settings. Got squad wiped at 3 hours and cannot reload game, or use 'rewind' feature a second time. Frustrating to see loot on map with no way to get to it. Frustrating to have to restart game after squard wipe when combat encounter where outnumbered 3 to 1. Enemies scale in difficulty WAY too fast. Fourth combat, or so, and enemies have armour and shielding and my squad weapons have not even improved, except one guy got to add a stock and scope to his shotgun because he picked them off the floor, could not swap the parts out to a different gun. Its annoying to have to work at a game to enjoy it. I am really good at XCOM, have every title in the franchise. Have over 5000 hours in Valheim, think I'll go back to it. EDIT: I will say that the coolest feature about this game is the reaction fire mechanic. I wish you had found a more creative way to box players into moving through the areas than the walls of debris, cars and boxes. But that is on me as I am old. I will try the game again in a few days.
very impressive game that feels like Baldurs Gate 3 and XCOM had a buggy baby
Certainly not a bad game. It does a lot of interesting things however overall I am not super satisfied. I have yet to beat the game but I am not really compelled by the story any ways. The thing that keeps me coming back is the way combat works however unfortunately combat is farther between than I would like. There is a lot more walking and gathering and puzzles than I came here for. I do not mind those mechanics but so far the crafting in my case has been largely unnecessary. And the puzzle mechanics are clunky and slow, which just kind of turns them into a chore. I wish there was more variety in weapons, characters, and scenarios that force you to change things up. The gameplay is fun though. I will probably try to beat the game and I will likely enjoy it, but to me I just see untapped potential.
