Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Quite ok, but a bit "dumbed down" XCOM game. Instead of longer missions this one has 1-3 encounters long set-ups. You have set amount of heroes to choose from and train. The story is nothing special but the tactical encounters are fun. You can grab this and play couple of missions and come back later, no need to invest a lot of time in one play. There are some bugs in animation, but nothing game breaking.
Aiaiai... XCOM Chimera Squad...

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Although it does not have the same complexity as XCOM 2, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It is much easier, and the missions are not as long or as difficult; maybe they can feel challenging at first, but you get used to them. The biggest difference is that now you have characters with their own personalities instead of unknown soldiers, and the game also adds a “breach” mode before each battle. I bought this game on sale, and I recommend it.
I'm revising this review right after finishing the campaign which took around 17 hours but can be shorter (around 15 or so hours) if you rush the story missions and don't bother leveling up every character. My initial review for the first few hours of the game was positive but after finishing the game I've changed my mind. This game takes place a bit after the events of the first two games with the aliens taking up residence in the human cities. and its a much much smaller scale story since it only takes place in just one city. and the Gameplay in general is more tailored to a more casual audience. The story itself is incredibly forgettable. It revolved around a group of XCOM soldiers assigned to a city fighting against a terrorist faction which is a pretty basic story but the writing in general was just bad. The writing is that sterile Marvel Movie style of writing that felt like it was written with the HR department breathing down the writers necks. With your characters just constantly blurting out unfunny quips at each other at every moment including up to the final dramatic showdown at the last mission. It was alright at the first few hours but after a while it felt like a slog. And at the start of the campaign there was some genuine intrigue at the story hinting at a big reveal as you go through various enemy factions seeking answers. But by the end the big reveal just turned out to be a massive disappointment the story somehow took the lamest turns by the end. To top it all off they gave the final boss the most boring mechanics of all the bosses. They just took a normal enemy and just surrounded him with the spongiest grunts in the game. The gameplay is somewhat good actually. it still got that XCOM style strategy gameplay but toned down to be a more bite sized mission layout. it features smaller maps and removes the whole stealth mechanic and just replaces with a "breach" mechanic where your squad breaks through a door and they get a chance to shoot down specific targets that can be a big threat. its a much simpler system but it could have been way better if they expanded upon it more but all they did was just give a few characters some breach skills that kinda suck more often that not it was better to just outright shoot the target than to use the skill. And of course another point of dislike was the upgrade system was also heavily skimped. your characters just unlock a skill tree that does have some very powerful skills but aside from that it was pretty underwhelming there were no cool flying gadgets, no mech suits, no cool psychic powers and even the special weapons were pretty disappointing. its just the normal weapon with a tacked on skill that may or may not be useful. not to mention how quickly the game upgrades plateaued I was just mid way through the campaign when My main characters maxed out and after that They didn't really get any meaningful changes and again the later half of the game ended up feeling like a slog. The thing that ultimately made me dislike the game was there was just a constant visual bug where when an enemy moves they just teleport to some random spot outside the map then rubber bands back to the spot where they should be. this happens every fight and sometime it happens to your characters too. its just a visual bug but after a few hours it just became more and more annoying. not to mention the camera bugs sometimes gets glued to your characters armpit instead of showing the enemy that I want to target. The game had potential but they didn't really live up to it, It felt like the game was intentionally cut down so that it can be released for mobile but as far as I know this was never released for mobile. This is a pretty short game that gets very cheap on sale and and you could get some fun out of this if you're just looking a light hearted casual strategy game but as a whole I cant recommend it. It feels like a version of XCOM that was bought from TEMU.

Always enjoy booting this up. Loved the original, but this is much better, and quicker - straight into the action.
Boring af, repetitive and without the main XCOM feature: building your own squad. Instead you are forced to play with the 'questionable' choices the game made for you. I almost dozed off while playing, just avoid this crap.
