Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Don't listen to the naysayers. I did for a few years, but then finally saw it on sale and said...well...I've played through my third full playthrough of Xcom 1 and 2 with expansions...why not give this a try now. It was fun. Sure it's not the exact same recipe as the originals, but still a fun remix of sorts. Definately worth a wee little playthrough. It kinda reminds me of that Will Smith movie where the Orcs are cops etc. Same vibe/theme. Do I want them to prioritize making more Chimera Squad sequals before "XCOM 3 - "Sirens" of the Deep" (Fingers Crossed)?...well no....but is it a game that scratches the itch and makes for a fun "tide" over....well yes :) Buy it if you were like me and doubted. It's a fun game. Like some say...XCOM lite.
Not a patch on xcom 2. Small maps, rarely need to move, just stand and shoot. Interface clunky, strategy limited, no real base building. It feels like it should be an old game, not one of the newer ones.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I tried to like Chimera squad, but it just feels a lot more unfair than the first two in the trilogy, its also probably one of the most buggy games I have ever played.
Не понравился сеттинг, нет той интриги когда пришельцы нападали. Геймплей упростили просто в ноль. На мобилках было бы еще нормально, но после XCOM2 это вообще неиграбельно.
Juvenile, cringe, and boring. An insult to the XCOM franchise.
Отвратительный калл. Максимально скучно и уныло
It's like XCOM 2 but with millennial writing and everything that make XCOM fun striped down and simplified
A worse version of XCOM. No more managing a resistance, instead you are basically the police. There is a very limited amount of soldiers and more importantly, there are NO SNIPERS. WHY? Also, now missions are just encounter after encounter after encounter. And there is no exploring, or sneaking up on enemies. I did found the game a lot easier compared to XCOM 2. I will still play it and got it as part of a bundle, so if you do own the other XCOM games ( XCOM ew and XCOM 2) I would say its still worth it. If you want to kill some time and otherwise love XCOM it can be fun. Other things that annoyed me: -NO SNIPERS -Units always start bleeding out -But if any of them die, its game over -Missions where you have to escape in the end is really annoying because of it -Soldiers can't be customized/named -Now there is an initiative system. Not fun when there are 3x the number of enemies compared to the player squad I would say mixed, if that would be an option- but it isn't, and I lean more towards negative.
Fun turn based strategy game. However, XCOM veterans should note that this game does not exactly follow the same rules you are used to. Turns are organised per unit rather than per team, and there is a strong emphasis on a pre-combat breaching mechanic at the start of encounters. Highly recommend if you have played Tactical Breach Wizards and enjoyed it.
Not bad. Some bugs are still unresolved. The difficulty curve feels a bit uneven. Runs great on the Steam Deck with a few control tweaks.
