Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Good game. It was made as an experimental spinoff with a lower budget so don't go in expecting XCOM 3. Expect a more story driven game that focuses more on the individual characters and tries out new things in the XCOM universe.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

es más Xcom, me esperaba algo más memorable en tema de historias y personajes pero no, hace lo mínimo. Si estás manija de más después del 2 es decentemente entretenido pero ni ahí a la altura.
AWESOME STRATEGY TURN BASED GAMER WITH LORE.
Game constantly crashes.
fun to play
I grew to love XCOM because of XCOM 2. I genuinely had a hard time believing Chimera Squad came AFTER XCOM 2, until I played it. Why don't I recommend it? Preface: XCOM 2 was more or less perfect, with my only real gripe being the sheer amount of repeated cutscenes interrupting play, and it was always a enemy reinforcement cutscene. Chimera Squad, takes the perspective of what follows XCOM 2 as a sequel, functioning more like a specialized SWAT team than a military remnant resisting occupation. This takes a fascinating angle, that I grew to really like, breach mechanics and detaining are a nice touch. Chimera Squad cures my gripe of the same cutscene playing on repeat for each individual reinforcement of enemies to make it more fluid and natural, less disruptive. HOWEVER... This came with a massive unignorable caveat that really had me convinced this was not a sequel of XCOM 2, that being customization having been totally and utterly ripped out, the ability to personalize your agents, tailor them to a play style you prefer and provides a measure of excitement in being able to progress your unit technologically. This is not me whining "THIS ISN'T XCOM 2" this is a feeling of content that felt so uniquely XCOM to feeling nothing like it. I SWAT-like play, I love it. Breach entries, fantastic. Overall, this feels like a core element has been completely ripped clean of the game. It's most unwelcome when you see you no longer have the options you once did which no longer respects player agency like it once did. The customization has gone from: - build your soldiers from the ground up, give their nationality, personality, voice choice, camouflage choices, loadout choices, equipment, appearance, facial features like camo paint/scars/facial hair, Tops, Pants, headgear, hairstyle, biography, national flag patches, - Who you recruit is from a massive roster, that you yourself can add custom characters to, btw upwards of up to 30+ characters. - upgradeable classes for said soldiers. To: - you pick one from 3-4 people to recruit - All characters are pre-made - You get to choose A colour tint. A colour tint....from 15-ish pre-selected colours. Do you see how much of a bloody downgrade the game appears in comparison? This hardly feels like a sequel, it was hard to believe that the same studio produced this!! Honestly, the slightly better gameplay doesn't feel anywhere nearly as convincing for me to get hooked as it was to have all of that customization. The cool new game mechanics too.
Fantastic game, must play for every Xcom series fan.
