Worldy Cup

Итак, сразу скажу, что покупал эту игру под VR, а именно – стримить в мобильник через Рифткат. Отсюда и буду ее оценивать. В очках играть прикольно, спору нет, но нужно грамотно настроить камеру. Я поставил слежение за мячом и камеру не рядом с игроком, а просто над полем. Дальность – средняя. Как по мне – это оптимально. Иначе – или неудобно играть, потому что вид закрывают игроки, или просто слишком далеко, и мне, например, не комфортно. Далее. В игре есть два режима – аркадный – это вот то, что показано в трейлерах – и реальный – это то, про что тут ни слова. А зря, потому что, если бы увидели второй режим, вы бы наверняка захотели купить эту игру. Так вот, чтоб лучше понимали, о чем я – вот геймплей именно «реальной» игры – и это всё работает в VR-шлеме, да-да: https://youtu.be/YOH72KFOPlw?t=851 И она мне понравилась больше, чем аркада. Собственно, в шлеме в аркаду играть вобще неудобно, потому что камера как-то дико себя ведет. А вот реальный режим – самое то! Главный минус в VR: почему-то игроки по полю еле бегают, даже если скорость ставить на максимум. Может, у меня комп конечно не тянет, но что там тянуть-то? Причем, без шлема всё ок. Если просто играть на пк – скорость реально регулируется, и там она влияет на геймплей. В шлеме при любой скорости они бегают со скоростью черепахи, но даже в этом виде – это прикольно) И еще – тут можно менять окружение, например, играть на Марсе, на Луне, на льду и так далее. Даже ночной режим есть. Но, как я понял, он работает только в режиме аркады, а как я уже говорил, с камерой там беда какая-то. А вот в режиме реализма почему-то даже на пк у меня просто стартует матч, но без игроков. Надеюсь, что разработчик прочитает этот отзыв и поправить эти косяки. Не зря игра в раннем доступе. В итоге просто два часа прорубился на большом телевизоре, потому что в шлеме, хоть и прикольно, но слишком медленно) в любом случае –желаю удачи в развитии проекта, это пока первый vr-футбол, который я видел. И да, в него удобно играть на джойстике и управление в целом удобное. Несколько кнопок и стик. Жду правки багов и рекомендую к покупке всем vr-фанатам. И не только)

I never write reviews for games, but this is an awesome party game. For the price, this game is a steal. I just hope that the developers keep the updates coming because I wish we could choose the teams we wish to be on beforehand and get more game customizability into the future. Keep up the good work devs! :D P.S. If we could get a top down view option in the future, that would be awesome!

Fun little game if you like soccer. I enjoy the game and like the idea of the voxel players, but did not like the position of the players in the format. The concept of different fields/turfs make it fun if they could just put an effect that goes with them. But I thought it was a good start for early access in the Full player mode, it made playing more enjoyable for me. So all in all I would say give it a try!

Such a cool idea! I loved World Cup Soccer on the NES! There´s still a lot to do... but the direction is good. I really don´t need the semi-real styles. So, I hope the devs focus and flesh out the fun factor!

Firstly the games dead and the developer hasn't updated the game since late 2017 so unlikely he will finish it. I played without VR and there really isn't anything to this game. It's a over priced abandoned soccer game.

Update--can confirm now that it works with Oculus Rift CV1. Now it's what it should be. Simple and fun! Though be careful posting negative things about this game--the developer will contact you and tell you that you're doing it wrong. Original Post: Fun simple game on a tv screen. Does NOT work with Oculus, as of July 13th, 2017. You get audio, but nothing but squiggly circles everywhere you look. On the TV screen, it's there. Oh well--maybe it'll get patched. The idea and the simplicity of the game has potential.

(Note: My review is on the non-VR portion of the game.) As someone who grew up playing Nintendo World Cup, this game caught my eye while browsing through Steam games. I'm a big fan of sports games and especially ones that use retro graphics. But man was I disappointed with Worldy Cup. Worldy Cup comes with two game modes. Retro and Modern. I really don't have much to say about the modern game mode. It's a below average football game that didn't have much to offer. It's pretty much the bare minimum of a football game. The Retro game mode on the other hand... The opposing team always had the same kits as I did making it harder to differentiate, some power-ups are really overpowered and at times the difficulty was unfair when the opposing team scored non power-up goals from their own side of the pitch. The Modern mode was way too easy while the retro mode was unfair at times. TL;DR My biggest issue with this game is that it feels very unfinished in a lot of ways, could've really needed some polishing. It's sad because I feel like Worldy Cup's Retro mode could've been something amazing. It just ends up disappointing you and not worth your time. Good idea, bad execution. Dust off your old copy of Nintendo World Cup and play it. Skip Worldy Cup.
