About
What makes Pro Soccer Online so good?
1) Input Driven Gameplay
Gameplay in Pro Soccer Online is completely input driven, not animation driven like many other sports games. Your decisions and skills on the field are the only thing that matter in this game.
2) No pay to win mechanics
Pro Soccer Online aims to be the most competitive and satisfying sports gaming experience there is. Having pay to win would completely ruin that. There are no pay to win mechanics in Pro Soccer Online.
3) Dedicated servers
Pro Soccer Online has dedicated servers in NA (Ohio), SA (Sao Paulo), EU (Milan), and AS (Seoul), and AS (Singapore).
4) Ranked Modes
Ranked modes allow you to queue solo, with friends or as a full team and get matched up against other players. It has stat tracking as well as an overall rating system with leaderboards. Climb the ranks, become the best and show off your profile.
5) Custom Lobbies
Custom lobbies are available to all players so you can setup a match to be just how you like it. It's great for hosting private matches and offers more options/customization than ranked modes. There are settings for match length, overtime modes, single keeper mode as well as others.
6) Player customization
Customize your player in different ways like choosing your skin & eye color, hair and facial hair style and colors, different clothing styles, shoes and accessories as well as different emotes.
7) Team customization
You can create multiple team presets that allow you to customize things like the team name, abbreviation, logo, uniforms with custom colors and different patterns/designs.

I am writing this review after playing the game since 2024. Everything I say here is genuine and based on my own experience, no matter what anyone else tries to claim. I am writing this after being banned for one of the dumbest and most unreasonable reasons I have ever seen. But even outside of my ban, there are many other reasons why this game is not worth playing. I will split this review into two parts:

My ban
Why the game is nearly unplayable

My Ban
When I joined the game, the ban reason literally said: “Auto GK.” That reason was vague and unclear, so I had to guess what it even meant. Since the explanation made no sense, I contacted an admin on Discord called “mannen” and asked him to clarify the reason for my ban. His response was: “First of all we know you’re not sure.” What is that even supposed to mean? I asked for clarification, not some encrypted sentence that needs to be decoded. Either the admins speak in riddles, or they simply have no idea how to give a normal answer. And to make this even more ridiculous: when I was playing, I recorded around 80% of my games. These are full, uncut 4K recordings, usually around 2 GB per file. So if this ban is supposed to be about cheating, I can literally provide evidence from my own gameplay. I have nothing to hide. I kept messaging him every week for around 2–3 months. Instead of replying properly, he was apparently busy playing Roblox for hours every week. So I guessed he must have been extremely busy “playing Roblox” for three months straight. After getting nowhere, I opened a ticket in the main Discord server, hoping I would finally find one competent admin who could actually explain the ban. Again, I asked them to clarify the reason. And guess what? Zero response! For another full month. How is this even possible? What is the point of having admins if they ignore people for months? And when they finally do answer, they reply like my 1yo son, without forming a single proper sentence. I work at SCK CEN, where emails get answered faster than this. If I have to wait three months just to get absolutely no proper explanation, then what are these admins even doing? The whole situation is embarrassing. The ban reason was unclear, the support was useless, and the admins handled it in the most unprofessional way possible.
Why the Game Is Nearly Unplayable
The game used to be an absolute buggy. To be fair, the developer improved it a bit in PSO2, and some old bugs were fixed. But even now, there are still many serious bugs and frustrating systems that make the game painful to play.
1. Cooldowns and Bugs
Nearly every single action you take before even joining a game has a cooldown. Want to join a new game? Wait 1 minute. Want to create a new lobby? Wait 3 minutes. The developer probably added this to stop people from abusing lobbies like they did in PSO1. I understand the idea, but this is such a lazy and annoying way to deal with it. I am not a game developer myself, but I am pretty sure punishing normal players with constant cooldowns is not the best solution. And even though many bugs were removed through updates, the game still has major problems. If you click “Start Game” twice, the lobby can bug out and you cannot play anymore. If someone shoots the ball out of the stadium, the lobby can bug out and you cannot play anymore. These are not tiny bugs. These are basic, fundamental issues that directly stop people from playing the game. I appreciate that the developer fixed some other bugs, but these kinds of problems should be priority number one, not something players just have to suffer through.
2. Ranked System
The ranked system is honestly just weird. I do not know what algorithm the developer is using, but whatever it is, it clearly does not work properly. You choose RW as your position, and the game puts you as GK. You choose GK as your position, and the game puts you as RW. I understand that balancing matchmaking is not easy, especially because most players want to play attacker. But at least give players the option to wait longer for their actual position. Personally, I would rather wait five extra minutes and actually enjoy the game than get forced into a random position I did not choose. The whole point of ranked is to play seriously and have a fair match. But how is it fair when the game does not even respect the position you selected?
3. Community
The developer and admins obviously cannot fully control the community, but this game has one of the worst communities I have ever seen in any game. Yes, there are some good people. I am not denying that. But they are rare. Most matches are filled with immature players who insult, troll, blame everyone else, and make the game miserable. Instead of playing properly, people spend half the time crying, flaming, or ruining the match for others. The community makes an already frustrating game even worse. When the game is full of bugs, the ranked system barely works, and the players are toxic on top of that, the whole experience becomes exhausting instead of fun.
Final Thoughts
This game had potential, but the way it is handled makes it hard to enjoy. Between unclear bans, useless support, broken lobbies, forced cooldowns, a strange ranked system, and a toxic community, the game becomes more frustrating than fun. If the admins cannot properly explain bans, if tickets get ignored for months, and if basic bugs still ruin lobbies, then players should seriously think twice before wasting their time on this game. discord: ebi_alt
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME I have just been falsely banned from the game for absolutely no reason while being a new player. The admin of the game said that my motherboard ID on my account is the same as a cheater/alter, which I feel like is not a good reason to ban someone for a game that they paid $5 for. I asked the admin to show my ID, and he wouldn't show me. The admin also took evidence from a untrusty player that makes derogatory statements from a discord server. The evidence that this player provided is just purely a coincidence. He stated that I had joined the discord and started back playing the game right after the cheater had been banned, which is not very strong evidence (a coincidence). He also stated that I had an OG tag on my account, which is because I had bought the game a long time ago, but due to it being non beginner friendly, the NA servers were LOCKED, and I thought the game was dead. I reached out to the support team with as much evidence as I could for someone who had gotten framed as a cheater, and they still have not responded. This game was very fun, but due to the community and staff, I would not recommend it at all. Edit: I asked some of the server admins to get me on a call with the mod who banned me, and when I joined the call, they immediately said I was a hacker. The community can't even get the supposed hacker right, switching names 24/7. They banned me from the discord, so now me getting unbanned is a lost cause. The community all acts as if they are Sherlock Holmes, when in reality, they are making a big mistake.
It is one of the worst games I have ever played; it has many issues.
Would be a fun game if it wasn't for the sickening greed of Turks. Mark my words I will wage war against this land and free this game from its Turkish shackles of greed
The closest thing to Sunday League with the boys you'll find on Steam. Scuffed in all the right ways, hilarious moments every match, and way more fun than it has any right to be.
SE CRASHEA SIEMPRE EN EL SHOP ESTE JUEGO DE RE MIERDA PSO 2024 VOLVE POR FAVOR
playable at 30fps low settings, fun game and maybe a consistent playerbase of 12 people
games just far too small, i can only really find games in europe which leads to unplayable lag
sarıyo
I don't understand what these Turkish players in the European region are doing. It doesn't matter if I play well, play badly, or just play average: they still try to kick me. You guys are honestly no fun at all. And you're ruining my positive impression of Turkish people.
