Ok few things: 1. You need controller to play game, I can't imagine play keyboard. 2. This art game (that said which is beautiful), but good gameplay for people like me to worth play. 3. Story vague and confusing. 4. Achievements don't always trigger. Watch out. 5. If you're inexperienced, hard game. Took exact hour to beat boss for me, that long.
Game is super fun metroidvania, but all the. Enemies are fought with a turn based action game that gets more and more complex as the game goes on. It also avoids the frustration of game over screens, you can just re-attempt to the battle that you just fought. I’ve had a blast, and I highly recommend it.
top tier rhythm/ fighting and the movement is stupidly satisfying.
The green platforming can go ♥♥♥♥ it self 100% hate the game now. The swap system is to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid for this kind of platforming. Also having a "parry" shield dont ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work feeling great. /s Love to explore and the combat (for the most part) feels good, until to need to perfect dodge all attack the game becomes pure frustration REAL quick. Also the dodge veel tight for this game. I would have liked to see an option for more perfect i frames or something. This game can be great for some people with good timing and patience for this game bs. But for most it a cool lovely explore game with to hard combat. the game cant make up it mind if it want to be a max hard combat game with some fun explore that ramps in total bs platforming, or a cool "rhythm" combat game with fun exploring. The balance of enemys is all over the place is the point i'm try to make. And for all the comment for like "get good" ( a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ toxic comment that need to die) I have play hard game like hollew knight and silk song with all achievement and path of pain. So i'm no stranger to hard games. This game feels off in combat and the green platforming.
This game seemed really interesting, but it had a couple of problems I noticed right off the bat. First, the intro cutscene ran horribly. My best guess is that they decided not to make it prerendered for some reason. I was playing this off a laptop but even then I shouldn't be getting my frames per second turned into seconds per frame. Second, the gameplay was a little rough around the edges. The visuals were incredibly smooth, but the gameplay didn't match that at all. Moving felt awkward and as far as I could tell its impossible to buffer jumps. Third, the combat felt very clunky and poorly explained. I was told to press certain buttons to attack but the buttons shown didn't match the buttons I had to press. This is an issue I've been dealing with for a while, so I figured out what was going on pretty quickly, but the added confusion made learning the combat system far more confusing. I'm certain the combat gets more interesting, but the gameplay loop of mash the same button, mess up the parry timing, get hit, repeat isn't exactly very fun. While I was trying to quit to the menu, I stumbled across something that showed me a bunch of combos but by that point I had had enough due to the final issue. Finally, the biggest problem I had and the one that made me quit the game. I mentioned it a bit in the previous paragraph but the game showed the wrong buttons, both in the tutorials and in the absorption minigame. Instead of A it would show B, instead of B it would show A, instead of X it would show Y, and instead of Y it would show X. As mentioned previously, this is a recurring issue. In most games it's just a mild inconvenience but with how confusing this game was already this made the game unplayable for me. I'm using a nintendo pro controller which is probably the source of the problem.
art made me buy it, gameplay made me love it
Captivating!!
