A mysterious global pandemic is making people disappear into thin air. A mysterious glass object carried by a girl found adrift at sea. Two stories that set two pairs of protagonists off on separate journeys around the world. What does it mean to live, make mistakes, and live again?

It's a relaxing yet somber VN. It actually consists of 2 stories; “Winter Polaris” being about a boy and an immortal girl after a global pandemic has caused everyone else to disappear and “Sweeper Swimmer” being about 2 girls on a journey across a world covered in water. These eventually intertwine into a story about about immortality As in the dev’s previous work Narcissu, the visuals mostly consist of letterboxed backgrounds with no sprites, with the characters only showing up in the occasional (also letterboxed) CG. It’s not quite a tearjerking Utsuge like Narcissu though it still has a bittersweet story. The two main characters in each story are essesntially the only characters, with the few people that are encountered in the story not appearing for more than a few lines. This means the vast majority of the VN is spent following the pairs of characters on a journey with no one else around which makes for a quiet, introspective and perhaps lonely atmosphere.

Yet another masterpiece from Tomo Kataoka sensei. A heavy story about life, love, and future in a post-apocalyptic world. Can we really live our lives to the fullest, even if we are immortal?
I wanted to understand stage-nana and more traditional japanese vns as I want to make my own narrative design games. To start with, the main reason I played this game was to understand why it had fallen flat when Narcissu had been so widely beloved. After playing this I understand why it failed and Narcissu succeeded so for me the game was worth playing. If you are considering stage nana's works, play Narcissu. It taught me a decent bit about game writing and for that I'm grateful.
