You are bird enthusiasts—researchers, bird watchers, ornithologists, and collectors—seeking to discover and attract the best birds to your network of wildlife preserves. Each bird extends a chain of powerful combinations in one of your habitats. Each habitat focuses on a key aspect of the growth of your preserves.
In Wingspan up to 5 players compete to build up their nature preserves in a limited number of turns. Each beautiful bird that you add to your preserve makes you better at laying eggs, drawing cards, or gathering food. Many of the 170 unique birds have powers that echo real life: your hawks will hunt, your pelicans will fish, and your geese will form a flock.

This game is very fun. It took me couple tries to learn the game. Actually watching a youtube tutorial on the actual boardgame is what worked. The tutorial on the PC version was a little overwhelming first time through. I like playing it solo / AI mode, its very fun and I think it will remain a go-to game.

They really did the original Wingspan justice with this. It's such a beautiful game and it has so many little quality of life features that make it so fun to play both with friends and solo. Sometimes I'll just fire it up when I'm needing something relaxing. [b]Pros:[/b] - Bird cards are animated! - So many beautiful backgrounds to choose from - Fun facts about the birds read out loud when you right-click them - Auto-scoring of points so you don't have to keep track - All bird powers happen automatically, you don't have to remember to do them manually - Cute little icons for players - Play with anyone you want (AI, yourself, friends, randoms) - Play whenever you want, no timed rounds - Quit and come back any time - Save your favorite games so relive them - There's a birthday pigeon icon that gives me life - Runs really well on my older Mac, even better on my gaming PC [b]Cons:[/b] - Tutorials have a couple of bugs where you get stuck in a state that doesn't let you move forward but if you exit and do another tutorial it breaks the state - I really can't think of anything else
