Concordia: Digital Edition

The interface for this game is horrible. You can't see the whole map to see where you've built or where you want to build. You can't see the card market without expanding a menu. It's very hard to tell what provinces have been prefected already. I wish they had stuck to a more basic interface that looked more like the actual board game. I love Concordia, but I don't love this app.

Extremely well implemented for single player, which is all that I have tried so far. Works great on PC and steam deck.

Love this game - game play is easy & consistent - Get the Imperial Bundle if you decide to buy because you will absolutely want the rest once you play the base game a few times!

How is the digital implementation of this just straight worse than the BGA implementation? I don't need fancy graphics. I need a board that's easy to read. I don't need a fancy UI. I need to be able to see the entire board state at the same time. The AI is fun because you can bang out a full game in 15 minutes and having all of expansions is a great way to see what you would like IRL, but the game itself should have a flat view option.

You promised to provide Chinese. You promised！

CRASHING in my 2nd game, so I suppose a pretty bad implementation.

1. Rather dull stuff. 2. The intro tells nothing about logic of the game. 3. No top 3 languages localization in Steam

It's one of my favorite board games, and I'm glad it got such a great adaptation. However, the UI/UX could use some streamlining; sometimes, it feels like I do more clicking than needed.

If you are not already familiar with how Concorida is played, the tutorial here will not help you. I took ~20 minutes to finish this "Tutorial" and had no idea what I was supposed to do in the game. I would prefer not to have to invest time watching videos or reading manuals to learn how to play. I may revisit in the future, but as of this review, Concordia is not worth it due to the extra research required learning how to play.

As a digital version of the irl game, it's... fine. If I'm feeling generous I may say it's pretty decent as digital boardgames go, but that bar is terribly low. I'm thumbing down because the DLC prices are a ripoff.
