Wings of Vi is a challenging 2D platformer in which the player controls the angel Vi, tasked with defeating the Demon Lord Jeh’oul after he is freed from captivity. While inspired by masochistic retro platformers, Wings of Vi aims to cut out arbitrary difficulty in favor of skill based gameplay.

I feel a little bad giving this a do not recommend. There's a fairly decent game in Wings of Vi, but I don't know if I can genuinely call it fun. Wings of Vi is brutally difficult, and it wears it on its sleeve. For the most part, I wouldn't call it unfair in its difficulty, but there are a few spots that either through some heavy RNG, too many things on screen at once, or just a very long auto scroller stretch without a checkpoint, end up tipping the difficulty scale out of "challenging" into frustrating. If you're someone who likes memorizing every single attack a boss can do and the minor tells for those attacks, and you have a huge amount of patience, I think I can recommend Wings of Vi for you. If you're not, it's going to end up more frustrating than fun. I would like to shoutout both the music and the art, they're excellent.
cute design and very challenging, only play if you like insane platforming
не могу пройти дальше первого экрана на клавомыши, потому что не нашла всех кнопок для управления. 10/10
rage material
kinda never got to trying this game proper, but now that the creator is planning to use genai for the next title i really do not see the point
Let's just say I'm glad the era of "let's make checkpoints every 30 seconds, but make every jump absurdly difficult" platformers is over
Cannot recommend due to fairness worm at final boss. The worm is there solely for the sake of ensuring the boss is not fair to the player. 0/10 boss.
Contact damage is Lazy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design.
1) platformers & runners and difficult can be fine but this is to difficult. no nah, this is the "get good" difficult, oh and i was playing on easy btw, it's that difficult, i like the look but not how it plays 2) now to the dev. as much i am ok of the dev to make nsfw art that is fine, hell they Stop making games bc of it. i am ok with that and all 3) WHAT IS NOT FINE THO. is Wings of Vi 2 have the ai slop in it and bc of that just don't get this and all they games, ai gen don't belong in games
Good luck. It's ridiculous. Not ridiculously hard - just ridiculous. Wing of Vi is an entirely muscle memory and reaction platformer. Most areas leave NO space for individual interpretation and instead want you to fulfill extremely strict chronological orders of sometimes excessive pixel perfect execution. Same goes for most bosses. The developer demands that you theoretically know how to beat bosses and sections FLAWLESS before even having a CHANCE beating them by any means - which explains why most people who played the game are capable of publicly bragging about it. The only excuse this game has for the lack of sophisticated map design is that most sections between saves are literally muscle memory and hardly ever longer than 5-30 second long movement flows. Incredibly thorough aesthetics (music, athmosphere, art, etc.) though. Too bad its kinda wasted on ridiculous difficulty that enforces robotic trial and error through muscle memory for hours. It becomes a mere patience play with your own learning pace. The aesthetics are why I tend towards a cautious recommendation.
