Record of Lodoss War – неплохая метроидвания, созданная по мотивам великолепных аниме и ранобэ. До Дидлит я искренне не понимал, в чем прикол лобызания вайфу или дакимакуры. O sancta simplicitas! Play this game if you know Record of Lodoss war. I just watched the OVA. I just got into Record of Lodoss War. This game was definitely fun! First time I beat a Metroidvania! Love the combat. Love the music. The pixel art is so well done!!! And best of all: Deedlit is best girl!
One of the best metroid-vania games ever made. Ladybug's 2D engine is amazing and unrivaled. Sharp, detailed 2D graphics. Amazing audio. Dynamic physics and effects. And an incredibly small install footprint. It's not terribly long. However it's compact, non stop fun. It captures the magic of Castlevania: SOTN while retaining its own identity. I feel like the game's name is its largest barrier to adoption/popularity. I'm not sure how popular Record of Lodoss War is in the USA. And it's kind of a long, convoluted title. Their equally amazing shmup Drainus also has an awkward name problem. I don't know much about the Record of Lodoss War lore, but the story is engaging regardless. The ending is especially gripping when you learn the truth of the Wonder Labyrinth and why Deedlit is there.
good game, after finishing it and looking up strats for achievements, i just learned this game is based on the anime (lodoss-tou senki), next is watching it i guess it's a short game maybe around 6-7 hours, it has challenging parts but not difficult enough to be impossible to beat for people who never play such games. and another note maybe if i watch the anime i could understand a bit more context of the story. duh overall i recommend it
只有该社一贯的美术优秀,实际玩起来只能打个70分的水平,但也还是能玩一下
A very well made metroidvania that definitely takes inspiration from Castlevania SOTN but also has its own unique feeling combat system and mechanics and is very fun to play and very satisfying to go through and get new powers and defeat bosses. It gives me everything I want from a metroidvania. Don't worry about its ties, you don't have to know anything about the source material to enjoy it Also despite only being marked as "playable" it does work flawlessly on Steam Deck
um otimo joog, metroidvania bem facil até, e so fui descobrir agr q tinha que ver o anime antes de jogar ksksk
It feels like a cozy/relaxing game for Metroidvania veterans, but a a nice challenge for those just discovering the genre. The gameplay is simple yet incredibly fun. Maps aren't massive, but are beautifully designed and packed with great secrets, upgrades, backtracking, and exploration. Bosses are fun and offer just the right level of difficulty, especially for beginners. It's a classic metroidvania but made it simple. I can't recommend it enough if you are looking for a quick, straightforward, and solid metroidvania experience. Also, highly reccomended for begginers!
Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth gives me of Symphony of the Night vibes in both art-style and game-play. The game is based around Deedlit from Record of Lodoss War. The platforming and monsters aren't too challenging, but the bosses are where it's at! I enjoy the strategy of switching between wind and fire magic, but you'll have to take a closer look to understand what I mean.
I don't like retro game difficulty. You are not allowed to miss or you'll keep dying for hours at the same boss. You're forced to watch the "game over" animation for too long and it can be frustration.
