I enjoyed this game way more than I thought I would. I've never played the original, so I can't say how the Remaster compares, but here are my pros and cons: PROS - Large world to explore, with different terrain and regions (that pertain to various quests). - Honestly, just a fun throwback to older horse games and some of those riding mechanics. - Just the right balance of simple and challenging, at least for me personally. I played on the second-lowest difficulty and found it wasn't too easy, but wasn't impossibly hard either. - The hoof picking mechanic is very satisfying. So are the rest of the "care" mechanics, honestly, such as grooming and cleaning the stables. - Achievements and collectables are fun to work towards and genuinely rewarding to accomplish. CONS - Poorly optimized. Even on low-medium graphic settings, the game stutters at times. There are also occasional bugs and glitches, though I didn't encounter anything completely game-breaking. - Trying to ride over uneven terrain, especially rocks, gets tricky and the horse gets stuck easily. - Repetitive after a while because of the limited quest "types". - No indicators on the map except for your current location. The mini-map is more helpful, but it is small. I wouldn't say it necessarily deserves the full $30 price point, but if it's on sale, I absolutely recommend it for anyone who loves a good, classic horse riding game.
As a person who grew up with pc horse games, this game is a BIG let down. + Very pretty (but glitching) graphiq visuals, but that's all. - No interesting or motivating story/ quests. - Annoying side characters (yes I know there's at least one in every game, but still). - No puzzels. - No walking around with the character. - No customisations. - Except when riding in the area, it's only a picture game (click to receive a dialog). Dissapointing and boring. And here I was happy for a short moment to see that someone still cares to create horse games.... Will try reboot Starshine Legacy or Rosemond hill instead.
A really well done remaster of the origin game! Graphics are beautiful and the scenery is lovely. The animations are a bit funky but in total sweet and good. The quests are basically the same as in the original version, so yes: it's still repetitive. sadge Some nice mechanics (like refilling stamina when picking up items) didn't make it into this game. I believe there were also two blue missions missing. I just don't like the fact that you can't turn off motion blur yet. Motion blur sometimes affects me negatively, so it was a problem for me. Aside from the tutorial, I was also able to play the game really well with the motion blur. The developers may also add a shutdown feature soon! The photo mode is really well done and the DLC is a nice addition! As a windstorm lover, I enjoyed my game time. I recommend waiting until the game has a good discount. I had about 9 hours of play time. During this time I completed all quests, achievements and played the DLC. For me it will probably be a one-time playthrough.
It doesent work!!
a lot of pop-in like the buildings just suddenly appear and the graphics are worse than the pictures. Gameplay is mid. Feels like a phone game
