Adorable dog 🐶
MAYBE worth it for a couple of pound on a big sale but not a £30 game in my opinion. It just feels.. empty? The petting/walking/feeding cycle is just repetitive in a very unsatisfying way. Having to backtrack to unlock new shops and locations is tedious and the world just feels bland. If you could do something like.. actually place where new shops are or "build" the world more so you actually feel like you are taking part, i think it would be way more immersive and interesting. If you're looking for that Nintendogs feeling; this isn't it.
little friend puppy island is one of my game playing that my friends i've virtual friends , theyre puppies and they cant talk to me but no one can . any way my puppy dogs that i got lint2x4 and yungy 1812, (and kv) but i hate him) i took my fogs to the friendly forest they build houses= pilgrams. not oates. If you grew up loving Nintendogs, then Little Friends: Puppy Island feels like the warm, modern-day reunion you didn’t know you needed. From the moment you arrive on Puppy Island, there’s that familiar joy of meeting your new furry companion—watching them tilt their head, wag their tail, and respond to your attention. The bond-building mechanics instantly brought back memories of brushing, feeding, and training your pup, but with updated visuals and a whole island to explore together. What really makes the game shine is how it expands on that classic virtual pet formula. Instead of just caring for your puppy at home, you can explore beaches, parks, snowy paths, and more. Discovering new areas with your pup by your side adds a sense of adventure that feels fresh while still capturing that nostalgic charm. The customization options are also a highlight. Dressing up your puppy with adorable outfits and accessories adds personality and makes each companion feel unique. The breeds are beautifully animated, and their playful behaviors feel lively and heart-meltingly cute. Most of all, Little Friends: Puppy Island captures that simple, comforting magic—building a bond with your digital dog, celebrating small milestones, and feeling that spark of joy when they run to greet you. It’s cozy, wholesome, and perfect for anyone who wants to relive those Nintendogs memories while enjoying a charming new twist. If you’ve been longing for a modern return to virtual puppy companionship, this island getaway absolutely delivers. 🐶💕
This is NOT like Nintendogs to be very clear, since I see some people suggesting it is. I found some level of enjoyment in this game, but it feels like it's missing a lot of features that'd make it feel more complete and it definitely doesn't have all the things Nintendogs had. I was quite indecisive if I should recommend this or not, but I imagine there are many who will still like this game regardless. I personally found enjoyment in just collecting different puppies, but the rest of it isn't particularly engaging to me. The majority of it feels like running around, unlocking stuff and playing tedious minigames rather than having meaningful interactions with the puppies. Even the feeding and bathing portions feel a touch lacking in comparison to other notable titles in the genre. I haven't unlocked all the areas, but the ones I did feel lonely with not much to interact with outside of obstacles and occasionally whatever puppies you've assigned in the area. Most of the buildings/areas unlocked don't seem to serve a function outside of assigning a random puppy you don't really like to "work" there and gain you a little bit of money over time. If you're looking for a game with the same level of depth as Nintendogs, you're going to be disappointed, but I do think this game has some enjoyment to be had for those of us who like to collect creatures. I'd wait for a sale, however, since I don't think it's work the full price listed.
Cute game in which you walk, feed and play with your dogs. Bought it on a whim when it was cheap, just to play something different and because...well, cute puppies. I can't recommend getting it for full price, but if you or your child enjoy games like these you won't regret getting it when on sale.
This is...hardly a game. Or maybe I'm just getting old? I had Nintendogs in high school and I remember it ruling my everyday. But this game doesn't seem to have much of a soul to it. It's so hard to explain, but it feels empty. Absolutely not worth the price on sale and I'm looking to get a refund, despite only spending $4 on it. It isn't good. Maybe great for little kids that REALLY, *REALLY* love dogs, but beyond that? Eh.
