I didn't play the non remastered version, so I can't make a comparison. Also this kind of game isn't usually my cup of tea. But nontheless. The gameplay reminds me of classic Racing Games, with different modes, like Racing Reach a Checkpoin Catch something Some are more fun than others. Its definitly targeted to a younger audience with the classic Horsegirl tropes. Also there is quite a lot to discover in the world. But the movement is not quite as free as I hoped and quite constricted. When the horse is able to go offroad and when its not feels random. And the lack of clear signs where you can and are supposed to be doesnt help. The controls were fine, but I needed some time to get accustomed to them and they sometimes felt a little choppy, which may was caused by the overall performance of the Game. I had about 30-40 fps while playing on a 2060TI on high graphics, which is not optimal but playable. I encountered some bugs but nothing gamebraking and the devs are activly working on resolving them. I had one crash of the game, which a quick restart solved. Overall i would recommend for people, that like Horses and an Open World "Adventure".
I agree with poor optimization of the game like other people have mentioned. Honestly this game has great visuals but I feel like that's about it. For a 'remastered' game it's ultimately lacking some sort of motivator. The quests seem like a burden rather than something to get me intrigued by the game. It all seems like busy work, like a hassle and I played for a couple hours looking for a motivator a real reason to play, the game seems to just lack a captivating story
This game has a lot of potential to be a cozy sit-down game for people who enjoy horsey/adventure playthroughs! The graphics are much cleaner than the original, and it's more enjoyable with more to see/do. This isn't my style of game, but I still gave it some time so I could absorb. To me, the animations aren't that detailed and the game is fairly choppy (even on low settings) and the built in motion blur makes it difficult to not get queasy, even on other platforms. The game has quite a few bugs and it's difficult to do open-world rides due to it, but a fresh game release is always riddled with some tricky bugs that are sure to be fixed as development continues. There is an active story line with voice actors and narration, which is amazing to see! You can also free roam selectively, which isn't something a lot of horsey games provide. Since demoing, I do think it is worth it if you're aiming for more quests and gameplay. I'm excited to see the community play it! Peachy<3
The game is cosy and straight forward, I feel like its more suitable for a younger audience. It follows alot of those common tropes you find in horse tv shows targeting kids. (girl with special relationship with horse, annoying younger rider, wise older man teaches you how to horse) if you let yourself follow only the quests you will miss the best part of this game, the exploration of the open map/finding the hidden objects is enjoyable and fun. imo if they did away with the quest menus and let it the quests be done by wandering into them in the world/or as events that pop up, it would be a better way to introduce players to the game. This is more like a run around and complete tasks game rather then a game with a story to follow. There are a few bugs but the devs are responsive and have already patched some issues.
Game is very poorly optimized. Even on low settings, experienced lag while in the jumping arena. It's even worse out in the wilderness. Again, LOW settings with a 3060Ti. Extremely disappointed.
it's impossible to play - especially WINTER DLC! how can u even take a money for that! Do u have a shame? Her hair floating in the air! Sometimes (each time )horse stuck on top of the rocks! if u jump u see loading screen and you on the rocks again! Horse don't listen u & sometimes(each time) (i think) horse possesed with evil spirits and doing twitching things and i cant explain how we turn up every time on the rocks again. U pick up snowmans from big distance. And u can't walkthrogh main DLC story bcs all of that AND bcs twitchy screen ON LOW SETTINGS! GOODLUCK & DON'T BUY IT - save your precious time! If you want it anyway THEN BUY AN ORIGINAL VERSION & u will sutisfied. But it's not contain evil cruel winter dlc with possessed horse!
I have played both the original and the remastered version, and the Remastered version is so nice! Awesome job!!
Quel dommage !
