ITs a good game. If they get the marketing up and somehow grease some high paying streamers palms, it should bring new blood into the game. Its an absolute shame its floating in purgatory the way it is as the core gameloop is solid, controls are decent and Ship v Ship combat is actually enjoyable. This game deservers better

Okay this is a Space Pirat simulator of sorts and its utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if you are from the EU. I played one solo match and thought, why not try out a multiplayer PVP or PVE game. I have been playing the game for just 2.4H and I havent found a single match with actual players. I have been queuing for about 1h just to find nothing. I joined the Discord to ask why it is not possible to Q with players and the reason apparently for this is, that the EU community is dead. Discord members told me, there is a NA community that is a bit more activ but for the EU region you can just straight up dump this game. So if you are from the EU and want to play this game, either get ready to play at NA times, play solo or dont play at all.

Actually a super fun space pirate game, especially if you have a crew of friends to play with.

It'd have been worth your time and money at launch, but unfortunately it's being sunset due to unsustainable low player numbers. Buying it now would be a waste of your money as you cannot enjoy the full experience without an adequate player population. The PvE mode they added isn't the full game experience and really isn't worth the $30 price tag. It's unfortunate to see games like this fall flat, because these types of spaceship crew games area awesome.

charging 30$ for this game is a real 5 dimensional chess move on the "Ruining your own credibility as a company" speedrun

This game remind me of the game called The Cycle: Frontier but it needs so much things to be a great game the map is so empty

Constant crashes, teams mates disconnecting, just 1/4 times actually playable. Not worth the trouble of constantly relaunching.

Shocked i never left a review as I was telling everybody and their cat about this game when it released! Wildgate is a really vibrant, well crafted game. Really pleasant world to explore, superb soundtrack, solid mechanics and in-game moments that will stick with you for years. Because the rounds largely play out around RnG - you're not necessarily at a huge disatvantage vs experienced players. you could end up getting some great tools and weapons early on that they won't manage to get. Or, you can use your head and out maneuver your enemies, or trick them into following you into a trap, using ship launched mines, or a tractor beam to pull their ship away from your team, into an asteroid. There is some really great feeling moments to be had when you think on your feet and play into the mechanics. They have added tonnes since I last played, and I admire the devs for how they've navigated the post launch updates. It can't be easy launching a live service these days, but Wildgate is definately deserving of your time. Even as a solo player there is some solid experiences to be had here - as sometimes it can be exhausting playing with randos, who will mindlessly shoot at the first enemy they see, giving away your position, regardless if your ship and team are ready for a fight. But you will also have moments where everything plays out in the most unimaginably wild way possible that will leave you grinning ear to ear and eager to play just one more round..
