Would've been an interesting premise, but maps are incomplete and quests do not always work, from the looks of it this game was abandoned by the devs.
Incredibly underwhelming. Avoid even if free. This game brings a whole new meaning to "bullet sponge" enemies - the bosses are an atrocity, taking anywhere from 40-240 shots to bring down. Even basic foes require a maddening amount of bullets to down, chewing through your ammo. This is only made worse by the fact that the gunplay itself lacks any amount of enthusiasm in its design. Weapons don't have any feeling or weight behind them whatsoever. A rubberband-gun has more kick then anything in Wild West and Wizards. A strangely bland and disorienting experience all in one. I don't understand how this received any positive press or reviews. I strongly recommend passing.
Yeah, it's a really cool concept, it's an indie doing an over-ambitious but nevertheless admirable effort. But a bad game is a bad game and this is obviously not going to see improvements made to it any time soon. A needlessly large open world that gives near to no incentive to explore beyond the possiblity of getting a chest with the most boring and by-the-numbers loot. A combination of Old West First Person Shooting and (extremely basic) RPG spellcasting that SOMEHOW still results in the most tedious first person combat I have ever played: Enemies are spongy/Guns are extremely weak from the start and since it's all Old West weaponry, this means you are engaging on this Borderlands-style FPS healthbar-chipping with guns you have to spend some good time reloading after a handful of shots. It's not getting better than this so don't bother wasting your time and money on it.
Unfinished and empty. I am playing this game all the way through mostly because I feel bad that I have wasted money on it. Almost all of the positive reveiws talk about how the game has potential but this has not been updated since 2021. There are some interesting mechanics but its biggest downfall is how grindy it feels. It feels boring to walk through the map, the enemies are either spongy or basically paper, and hit either like mosquitoes or a semi-truck. This games is just inconsistent and boring. Do not waste your time or money
The game is incomplete and seems to be abandoned without any major updates for years.

To be quite honest, this game is only fun in concept. The game-play itself is dreadfully boring. You only really walk places and can only fast travel to specific locations. The graphics are pretty mid, the gunplay isn't very satisfying. The lore and world building is kind of interesting, but that really isn't enough. There is hardly any variety in enemy types. Small Scorpion, slightly bigger scorpion, and giant scorpion. Bandit, wizard bandit, and then small elemental and giant elemental. that's pretty much it. How can you have a cowboy themed wizard game and no horses. No sprint mechanic, just a short dash roll. I'm sure someone out there might love this game, but there are games out there that do Cowboys WAY better, and same with Wizards. If you like walking simulators where you sometimes do other things, maybe you'd like this... but I think there are even better walking simulators out there. I honestly wish there was more game here. I'm definitely left wanting.
🤠 Can't call this game mindblowing, but this concept works and for an indie from a couple of devs, it's really big & great. This is a "I WANT LOOT ALL" type of game, with many points on a huge map, simple RPG quests, LVL progression, equip & skills upgrading. With not so many resources at disposal, a rather lively world was created with sometimes really beautiful locations. There are a lot of simple puzzles & secrets, constant firefights with magic tricks, the four types of classic weapons and a nice atmosphere with good music (although there aren't many tracks). Just don't expect too much and it can drag you in for many hours, if you forgive a bit of monotony. Unfortunately, there are still many things that could be polished, AI in particular, with a more adequate reaction to thefts, shots or kills (it just doesn't exist). Adjust the endgame balance, add some mounts & more replay variability, etc. Bugs are expected, but they don't break the game and are definitely forgivable for the scale and love for details.
This game truly is a great game that is well worth its full purchase price despite the little popularity this game has. I want to shed more light onto this game. This game has a similar gameplay and world design to the original Borderlands, a quest structure comparable to Runescape with simple puzzles and riddles (though this game is easier), and it includes instrumental music, graphics, and atmosphere that is extremely similar to Firewatch. All of this is wrapped up into a Wild West and Wizards burrito. It's delicious, and I'm surprised this game isn't more popular. The game may initially appear to be cliche or cheesy, but it is done in a modest and elegant way that is very entertaining once you begin to appreciate the cheesiness of this burrito. This is a calm and collective game that by intentional design does not punish the player. It is easy going, but it does also present some optional end-game progression and challenges if you want to push your build to the max. This game always works with you, never against you.
Pros:
- Performance is phenomenal. In fact, there are ZERO loading screens apart from loading into the game initially, and yet my game still runs at 60 FPS at all times. - There are 3 biomes (not just a desert). - The questing system is overall very entertaining and is somewhat comparable to Runescape. Side-quests actually have short, but fun and decently memorable adventures with their own unique short stories. You are very often presented with easy, but fun puzzles in order to open a secret door/portal, or sometimes keys are well hidden but always in fairly close proximity. Half the time there are even notes from journals that directly tell you or hint to you where keys is located. Quests are not completely mindless; you do have to use your brain at least a little bit, which kept me engaged from beginning to end. - The world is laid out in a simple-to-understand way. If you come across a locked door, then you can be absolutely certain that: either you need to find a key/unlocking mechanism that is close by, you need to figure out a puzzle, or you need to begin/progress to a certain stage of a quest to unlock it. - If you miss something or if you can't figure out a puzzle, then it's ok. Almost all items you would receive from a quest reward can be found almost anywhere with few and very minor exceptions. - The game is enjoyably and appropriately comedic. Here's an example of a journal I found in an abandoned church: "So.. I may or may not have unleashed a powerful elemental in the basement below the church. The creature may or may not have killed a member of the congregation. And I may or may not have locked it down there and left the key here for another brave soul to find. I also may or may not have abandoned this church for the foreseeable future..." - This game is appropriate for almost all ages. There is no blood, no cursing (text nor verbal), no sexual innuendos, no drug consumption, or etc. Almost anyone of any age can play this game and enjoy it. - Puzzles are easy. Some might take a bit of thinking or looking around, but almost every single puzzle is quite easy to figure out. - The music is absolutely fantastic and very fitting. - All loot and all enemies respawn over a short period of time. This allows for farming techniques throughout the entire game. - Day and night cycles exist throughout the game. - There are multiple failsafes and user-friendly conveniences in place. You are always able to fast travel. If you were to in the extremely unlikely event run out of ammo, then you can use your mana to fire your gun. All enemies and all loot throughout the game universally respawn over time, so homes in towns have health and mana potions that always respawn. You can never be in a position where you can't progress; there are many free offerings to the player to get out of any trouble. - Respec skills for free! - The end-game has an option to go into something that is similar to a "New Game +" experience to extend gameplay and build aspirations. - While the game does present end-game content, it is not overly grindy. Getting to max level doesn't take incredibly long and maxing out your gear doesn't take incredibly long either, nor is maxing out your gear a necessity; it's purely aspirational. - Inventory management is almost never an issue. Carry weight does not exist. You are only limited by the number of inventory spaces you have and items stack, very similar to World of Warcraft or Runescape. - Bugs are very rare. I experienced a small handful of bugs, but nothing major or game-breaking. - You are able to kill any NPC in the entire game, even friendly blacksmiths. And even if you do, then there is no irreversible mistake you can make, as again, everything respawns. You couldn't break a quest even if you tried.
Inbetween:
- The game has a much more casual design and approach than most RPGs. The game is very forgiving. For example, there is absolutely no punishment for dying; you do not lose XP, items, gold, and your items do not degrade (item degradation does not exist in this game). - Some quests give you choices, but there is no stress or worry when making one decision or another in a quest. The choices are not game-altering. There is no morality system built into the game nor branching quest lines. This is clearly not "lazy", rather it is clearly intentional by design. - Skill trees are simplistic, but enjoyable. Skill trees are comparable to the original Borderlands. Skill trees and character classes are deep enough to make a difference and provide an incentive to use certain combinations of gear, spells/skills, and weapons, but the skill trees are also simple enough that anyone can come up with their own successful build.
Cons:
- There is a good amount of QOL features, but it could benefit from more QOL features, such as "sell all junk" at vendors. There is a world map with markers for quests and landmarks, but the compass only has cardinal directions; it displays no other information. It would be nice if the compass would at least show nearby landmarks, or enemies if you are in combat. You aren't able to place your own waypoints on the world map. - The top of the world map is very oddly east rather than north, and the world map can't rotate. This makes navigating the world disorienting because you would think if you're facing the "top" of the map that you'd be heading north, but you're actually heading east. It's easy to get used to, but it's a strange design. - Despite the music being incredible, it could use more music tracks. - Jumping or any sort of vertical movement up rocks, or branches, or etc. is extremely janky. You cannot jump very high, and the game literally does not seem to know how to process your character trying to jump up onto the tiniest ledge, rock, or wooden box. - The developers certainly put a bit more time into the beginning areas, sections, and quests. There is still a good amount of effort put into the mid and late-game areas, but it is noticeably less than in the beginning. - This is a single-player only game. This game almost begs to be a multiplayer game especially because of the RPG elements the game offers, which is yet again very similar to Borderlands 1. It would be very nice to play the game with a friend in co-op as you play through the story together, or farm end-game bosses together. - There is not enough loot variety. You definitely receive enough loot to continually find something better to equip or directly upgrade your equipment at a blacksmith, but there are only so many guns and armor in the game that exist. This game was made by a tiny development team that did such an astounding job with the tools and little manpower they had.
