Wow, what a shambles. This game could be fun with a decent story, but there are a million bugs that prevent it even being remotely playable. About fives minutes into my first attempt, apparently I slept too long and was left on a "Sleeping..." screen where I could change my equipped item but could not see or move. After reloading and hoping it autosaves (since I couldn't save it with a frozen screen), I learned that it doesn't. I quickly ran through the first few minutes again and attempted to progress, this time only sleeping for one hour. This time, I was able to continue. However, shortly after I had to shoot and harvest meat from a deer. Upon choosing to harvest the meat, a cursor appears and I am not longer about to move, yet again. I can move the cursor (which doesn't move the camera), crouch, and select different items, but nothing else. After this, I saved and reloaded, which did "unstick" me (which I had to completely relaunch the game for by the way - no option to go back to the main menu), but I noticed I had somehow lost all the rounds that were loaded in my gun... okay, whatever. I can live with that. Until finally I fell through the map after reloading in from my second deer harvest. Nice. Furthermore, the movement is incredibly janky, the settings offer as minimal options as you can imagine (if you're playing on 4k prepare yourself for barely visible text) and the map contains barely any detail on very high settings. It doesn't end there though, because the voice acting is trash (what was I expecting?), the sound is horrendous (the sound of crickets appear at night and for some reason it is almost painfully sharp and loud) and it is pretty difficult even to know what buttons to press, since it hardly tells you. But you do get a dog that you can throw for your dog, which he fetches and brings back, so maybe it's worth a recommend after all...

One of the most realistic experiences about alien invasion I have ever experienced. This game kept me engaged and enthralled for nearly half my life. The days of building a relationship with my dog are event I will never forget. The day they took my grandpappy will forever be scarred into my memory, and this game helps me heal by reliving that same experience.
Not very refined controls. Very nice concept btw.
