Welcome to the Game II

TL:DR I'm reporting this game for possible malware because of the previous backdoor, I hope everyone does the same so Steam at least might investigate it to make sure the backdoor is gone. [hr][/hr] This developer secretly added a backdoor to the game. Supposedly it was added in 2020 but I believe only Steam can verify if thats true since the game was updated without a post (update history ended in 2018), its incredibly possible (and likely since this dev is scummy) that the backdoor has existed since possibly release, and also its possible that it never even got removed. The developer publicly used the backdoor to maliciously troll streamers in ways that made the game literally unplayable/unbeatable. There is legit no way of knowing what he did, if he did anything, to people who weren't streaming. Regardless, adding a backdoor is an INSANE security vulnerability, a huge red flag (since its existence was initially lied about), and also illegal in many countries as there was no news about the update and users couldn't opt out of it. Oh also, the developer is just a S-Tier scum of the earth.

I cant say its good, cant say its bad, I specifically felt like this is a good game to watch on youtube but not so much fun to play itself. Ill put as recommended because it doesnt have anything bad, just not my style, didnt enjoy it much, its a acquired taste

Honestly, Welcome to the Game II is one of the most stressful games I've ever played, but in the absolute best way possible. It doesn't rely on cheap jump scares; it's just pure, creeping paranoia. You're sitting there trying to dig through the deep web, managing your crypto, and using a surprisingly cool simulated OS and terminal to crack Wi-Fi. But the whole time, you have to constantly check your surroundings—peeking out the peephole or listening for someone picking the lock at your front door. Trying to juggle the actual computer mechanics while dodging killers and the SWAT team is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, but the adrenaline rush is insane. 10/10, definitely made me double-check my own door locks.

the dev aka adam is a huge tool cant take anything with a grain of salt and ♥♥♥♥♥ with peoples games with the new on coming about probs gives u a virus. tbh adam probably touches kids

Playing this game makes me want to gouge my eyes out. Welcome to the Game II is the perfect position between being both fair and unfair. Every death, I thought to myself: "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Well... I guess I didn't do [i]*insert random thing I didn't do that would've prevented my death*[/i]. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥." And then I usually proceeded to start a new game. I will say, if you're not cool with reading or seeing some kind of crazy ♥♥♥♥, don't get this game. Although I'm sure this game doesn't showcase the real deep web accurately, it does have some things that are deeply unnerving. Ex. [spoiler]A website about a person stalking and kidnapping a girl, with photos. Another website about a furry who has sex with their cats. A website of a guy who pawns his daughter off to the highest bidder for a week. The list goes on[/spoiler]. Honestly, I don't know if the person/people who made the websites of this game needs to be looked into, or applauded for making something that feels this real and unsettling. And you HAVE to go through almost all the websites, as every website has a chance to have the keys you need to win. But, purely looking at the different things that can kill you, most of the enemies are fair. The Police and Noir were barely a threat to me because I was paranoid all the time, changing WIFI networks every 9 in game minutes to deter the police, and standing up to look around the apartment every time a website was loading to see if the Noir wanted to create a dent in my head. The hitman sent after you is also at a low threat level, as long as you have at least one motion sensor in front of your door. If you don't have one, good luck hearing the sound of him picking your lock. But the Breather. Oh my god, I hate this masked ♥♥♥♥♥. Every time you go into the alleyway to pick up your packages, you have to listen for a very quiet sound cue that indicates that he's going to kill you. Then, if you hear him, that means you are required to go into the door in the alleyway to prevent him from putting 28 stab wounds directly into your chest. You then have to kneel down in front of the door, and hold the doorknob to prevent him from breaking into the room you're in. He attempts to get into the room you're in about 8 times, at random unpredictable intervals, before ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ off. If you fail to hold the door in time by even a NANOSECOND, the run's over. I died to this guy more than any other threat in the game. 9/10. I would say it's worth the full price.
