Tags: Clicker - Cooldown Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Furry 12 Labors of Hercules with weather oriented magical effects to unlock progression. Redundant in gameplay, not enough innovation. Review: Like so many other ressource management clicker game this one uses the sytem where you have a central HQ and workers run in and out of it as you click on a variety of hotspots around the map. You gather food, wood, gold from hotspots that respawn. The visual presentation has received quite a fair deal of polish with its paperback vaguely fantasy antropomorphic medieval animal presentation. The audio is relaxing and well executed and the power ups are thematic as they are weather based and vaguely magical and well implemented as they contribute both to the removal of foes and the gathering of resources. Offers multiple user slots and a timed or casual untimed mode. No resolution options, no voice acting and not a whole lot to innovate or disrupt the fomula of the genre but as the time of writing this review it is the title that implements this title the best in the ones I have reviewed thus far. Conclusion: While the weather effects added a bit of a twist to the gameplay it does not really do nearly enough to set this aside from the popular 12 Labors franchise which more or less cornered this niche on Steam. Best archive for declutter. Cons: -Overworld map, intro slideshow and some zoomed in artwork looks a little cheap still -Mixed in tone, kiddish and yet at the same time seems to take itself seriously -Derivative and grindy -No resolution options
An innovative game play system where you recharge resources and fight enemies using weather magic
Weather Lord: Following the Princess Collector’s Edition is a lighthearted fantasy time-management game developed and published by Alawar Casual. As part of the long-running Weather Lord series, it delivers a familiar blend of resource gathering, kingdom restoration, and magical problem-solving while introducing a new adventure centered on rescuing a princess and protecting a realm threatened by dark powers. The game embraces the accessible nature of the genre, making it easy to learn while still offering enough strategic depth to keep players engaged throughout its lengthy campaign. The story follows a kingdom facing a growing crisis as dangerous forces spread chaos across the land. Armed with the ability to control weather itself, the protagonist must travel through numerous regions, helping citizens rebuild their communities while searching for the missing princess. The narrative is straightforward and designed primarily to support the gameplay, but it succeeds in creating a sense of progression. Each completed level feels like another step toward restoring peace, and the fantasy setting gives the adventure an inviting atmosphere that remains enjoyable from beginning to end. Gameplay revolves around managing workers, collecting resources, clearing blocked paths, repairing damaged structures, and completing objectives within a set time limit. The defining feature is the use of weather powers, which add an extra strategic layer beyond standard time-management mechanics. Players can summon rain to nurture crops, call sunshine to speed production, unleash wind to remove obstacles, and use thunder to overcome magical threats. These abilities are integrated naturally into the level design, encouraging players to think carefully about timing and resource allocation rather than simply clicking as fast as possible. One of the game's strengths is its consistent variety. New environmental challenges, resource requirements, and obstacles are introduced regularly, preventing the campaign from feeling stale. Levels gradually increase in complexity, demanding more efficient planning and quicker decision-making. Players who enjoy chasing gold-level completion times will find plenty of opportunities to optimize their strategies, while those who prefer a relaxed experience can still enjoy the story and progression without excessive frustration. The visual presentation fits the game's cheerful tone perfectly. Environments are colorful, vibrant, and filled with fantasy-inspired details. Villages, forests, rivers, and magical locations all possess a charming handcrafted look that complements the casual gameplay. While the graphics are relatively simple by modern standards, the art direction remains appealing thanks to its bright palette and clean design. Watching ruined areas transform into thriving settlements provides a strong visual reward that reinforces the feeling of accomplishment after each level. The soundtrack and sound effects contribute significantly to the game's welcoming atmosphere. Gentle fantasy melodies accompany the adventure without becoming repetitive, while weather-related effects add personality to every action. The sounds of rainfall, wind, and thunder help reinforce the magical theme and make the player's abilities feel impactful. The Collector’s Edition also includes bonus content such as additional levels, wallpapers, a strategy guide, and soundtrack materials, giving dedicated fans extra reasons to explore beyond the main campaign. Despite its many strengths, the game does have a few limitations. The story remains fairly predictable and serves mainly as a backdrop for the gameplay. Players seeking a deep narrative or complex character development may find the plot somewhat simplistic. Likewise, veterans of the time-management genre may recognize many familiar mechanics and conventions. Although the weather system helps distinguish the game from competitors, the overall structure remains rooted in established genre traditions. Even so, Weather Lord: Following the Princess Collector’s Edition succeeds because it executes its formula with confidence and polish. The combination of weather manipulation, resource management, colorful visuals, and steadily escalating challenges creates a satisfying experience that remains entertaining throughout its campaign. The additional Collector’s Edition content further enhances the package, offering more value for players who enjoy casual strategy adventures. It may not reinvent the genre, but it delivers exactly what fans expect: a charming, well-designed journey filled with strategic choices, rewarding progression, and magical fantasy charm.
