We met in May and went on a lot of dates. This is a collection of vignette games about those dates, and the comedy that comes with getting to know someone.

Unapologetic in how saccharine it is. It's a fantastic encapsulation of how magical the honeymoon period of a relationship is and how those moments become fantastical in our memory. Playing this game is bittersweet in how powerfully it makes me recall the happier moments in my life, but it also fills me with such strong hope for things to get better. As an autobiographical work, it feels quietly like one of the more important games I've ever played. Being able to inhabit Nina as she (very quickly) falls in love with Jake makes it so much easier to empathize with both of them as characters. There is no overarching plot to speak of, no antagonist, no progression systems or even a record of how good of a partner you are. You are in the moment, however exaggerated it is, and that's all there is to it. Enjoy the time you have, be honest with yourself, and be the best person you can be.
This is a short, fun, charming collection of mini games. I really love it, the music is wonderful and Nina and Jake did a wonderful job on the game. <3
While over really fast - it took me about fifteen minutes to read through the three vignettes I could play - We Met in May is a playful take on dating games. it centers on four vignettes, each a date in and of itself. These are mostly mini-games of sorts, with a few dialogue and other gameplay choices to give it a bit more length. I generally liked the experience, but the beach vignette uses some very similar colors that made it impossible for me to play (I'm partially color-blind). That said, the other three stories were pretty silly and fun, and overall, I'd recommend this if you're looking for something lighthearted and bite-sized.
Adorable. I loved every minute I played! Really brought me back to my early days of being in the relationship with my wife, except I never had my nipples tweaked while cooking I don't know if I should be thankful or jealous. Each of the four vignettes has great moments that will have you rolling in laughter and dawwing at it's cuteness. Super recommend.
damn i wish i had a gf
One of the most charming games I've ever played! It's short, simple, very sweet, and I love it. Highly recommended.
Come for the cute romance, stay for the nipple tweaking
I think I will replay it on every May from now on. It's so cute and funny even if it's short. Wish the best for the devs !
We Met in May is a short series of vignettes that look into the lives of developers Nina Freeman and Jake Jeffries! We follow them on a cute, awkward and charming set of dates and basque in the glow of relationships forming, whilst being serenaded by Ryan Yoshikami's sweet, smooth soundtrack (which is totally worth an OST purchase btw!). I had a great time laughing along at the sweet moments the starring couple went through. Related to the sweet, cringey, awkwardness of a couple getting closer to each other, and had some good laughs at some anime-esque over the top scenes (the diamond dust ice queen attack had me in stitches)! This game is for anybody who is down for a unique and small experience that has any interest in the way I just described it! Plus its only a couple of quid, so treat yo'self!
