I was incredibly impressed with this game - I did not want it to end. I wound up wrapping in just under 11 hours. This is one of those games where you will want to do some Groundhog-Day-ing - revisiting days to see what you missed. I never found myself bored with redoing a day. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know every character.

Wayward Strand is an incredibly ambitious narrative videogame with great writing, a refreshing art style, and a fascinating setting. It had some visual glitches, when I played it at least, but it's still worth checking out if you're interested in narrative focused games that take the medium in interesting and fruitful directions. I'm looking forward to the team's next project.
I really enjoyed everything related to this game. It made me reminisce my time when I used to help in nursing homes. Casey and her mom's misunderstandings are too real and it makes this game really immersive in.
A fantastic little slice of life Aussie adventure. Awesome voice actors, intriguing characters and cool visuals. This is a very specific type of calm game. There's no high stakes or intense gameplay; however, the whole vibe works together with the pace and keep me engaged. I do have a bug where the audio will skip and cut out for half a second. Usually only lasts for 20 - 30 seconds and then it goes back to normal for 10 or so minutes. Some animations are a bit janky. There's a nice animation when you walk up or down stairs but using the elevator gives weird pop in as you teleport up or down instead of move there. Overall, I love the setting. It feels very Australian. It's a shame it has been slept on a bit but Steam is a brutal place. Regardless, I have enjoyed my time so far (I haven't finished the game yet).
This game is so nice and I mean that in the most pleasant way possible. What really makes this game is the voice acting and the artists/animators. If I had to critique something it would be the ending,
I was hoping to see segments of what Casey ended up writing or watching the Dr. move down into her home.
Overall though I am shocked this game doesn't have a lot of attention. It is very lovely and has re-playability. The characters are interesting and have their own personalities. It's all very realistic and I loved it! Could not recommend it enough!
Wayward Strand is a fantastic narrative driven game about generational differences and hardships of growing older. In the game you play as 14 year old Casey who is spending 3 days aboard a retirement home located in an airship. One of the most notable aspects of Wayward Strand is the time clock. Anytime you choose to spend time with someone or take a lap to explore the airship the in-game clock is always moving. And because it’s impossible to be everywhere at once, every single play-through will always be different. The airship’s inhabitants whether, warm and caring, angry and cold, or entirely nonverbal, all have interesting stories and personalities. But I always felt like I was just scratching the surface with the majority of them. It definitely makes me want to revisit this game sometime down the road.
