Buggy mess, runs like sh*t

Genuinely such a dull game. Now, I've only played 90 minutes so maybe it gets good, however, a game shouldn't have to take a few hours for you to get hooked. The pros: - visually appealing - rewards exploration as to get upgrades you need to explore The cons: - The map - The hacking - The characters - The gunplay - Very buggy. Personally, I don't like the map because I think it is too closed off and linear, however thats more of a problem with the setting (London) than the actual map and nothing could be done to fix this. Driving just doesnt seem as fun as the first game and especially the second game. I think that they definitely perfected the quick hack system in the second game. The sheer amount of hacks you can pull off with a full botnet bar means that you can go into an area with just stealth very easily. The first game's hacking was also really good. In this game theres a cooldown per hack, meaning that you can't distract 2 guards to slip past or kill them. Nor can you set up loads of traps in preparation for a wave of enemies. I also think that whilst you being able to recruit NPCs to play as them and then have different abilities depending on the character is a cool idea, it results in me not really getting attatched to them. Adrian and Markus both had personalities and stories and such which makes the playable characters in this game feel flat as a result. Also I find the dialogue and voice acting poor. Sometimes I didn't like the second game's dialogue and voice acting becasue it was corny but this is just so boring. Not having access to lethal weapons on most characters sucks as you can't pick them off the ground nor can you buy them sucks and I miss how it used to work. You can only have them if your character has them as a skill or perk or whatever. Finally, this game keeps crashing. On both my Linux and Windows installs I have had numerous crashes. In the first mission/tutorial my game crashed at the detonator. Genuinely unplayable at times. So glad I got this game as well as the other two for 5 quid. I genuinely could not see anyone buying this game for more than that.

Игра очень посредственная, техническая часть отвратительная, она не работает адекватно на dx 12, крашит драйвер и такая проблема не только у меня, но на dx 11 производительность оставляет желать лучшего, интерфейс убогий, количестов анимаций исхудало, по сравнению со 2 частью, персонаж постоянно застревает в каждом углу и дёргается как паркинсонщик, система с вербовкой вроде прикольная, но тебе становиться noxyй на болванчиков за которых ты играешь, сюжет посредственный, не особо интересный, разве что могу похвалить проработку города и внешний вид Лондона в целом, сюжетное dlc не плохое, было интересно побегать за старпёра Эйдена и дэбила Рэнча, даже интереснее чем за болванчиков в основной игре.

Tried to pick it back up, hoping that something would be fixed since its release 6 years ago. But alas, the game is still not fun, not engaging. You can patch bugs and glitches but this game lacks a clear identity like the original 2 games. You cannot patch that out. It feels like the mechanics from the previous 2 games simply have been forgotten. This game lacks everything that made the previous entries enjoyable. Its just a generic Ubisoft open world that happens to take place in London. Even when you are hacking and being around major landmarks, it doesn't feel like you are there unlike in San Francisco in the second game. The game is a bleak stain on the Watch Dogs IP and a real look at the company that ubisoft is. I hope we get something better than this in the future and that the franchise doesn't just disappear with this as the final installation. If they had just re-released the second game in a different setting, I would have been fine with it. But the game still runs like ass, doesn't look particularly good and worst of all, still crashes all the time. [h1]Avoid this garbage.[/h1]
