WarriOrb is a creative action-platformer that takes a familiar fantasy premise and twists it into something far more unusual. Developed by Not Yet and published by Not Yet and Maple Whispering Limited, the game tells the story of a powerful demon who finds himself trapped inside a small spherical body after a magical experiment goes catastrophically wrong. Instead of ruling through fear and destruction, this once-mighty being must navigate a dangerous world while struggling with the limitations of his new form. The concept immediately gives the game a distinct personality, blending humor, dark fantasy, and adventure into an experience that feels refreshingly different from many platformers on the market. The narrative centers on a wizard's desperate attempt to bring back his deceased daughter. When the ritual fails, the summoned entity becomes the target of blame and is cast into a strange world filled with hostile creatures, forgotten ruins, and mysterious inhabitants. As the story unfolds, players encounter a variety of characters whose personal tragedies and motivations gradually reveal the history of the land. While the plot does not rely heavily on lengthy cutscenes, it succeeds through environmental storytelling and meaningful interactions. The combination of comedy and melancholy creates a surprisingly engaging atmosphere that encourages players to continue exploring in search of answers. Gameplay is built around movement, and WarriOrb makes excellent use of its unique protagonist. Because the hero is essentially a living orb, movement feels very different from that of a traditional platforming character. Rolling, bouncing, jumping, and maintaining momentum become core parts of the experience. The controls are responsive and intuitive, allowing players to perform increasingly complex maneuvers as the game progresses. Early levels introduce the mechanics gradually, but later stages demand greater precision and mastery, rewarding players who fully understand how momentum and positioning work together. The platforming challenges are among the game's biggest strengths. Each new area introduces fresh hazards and environmental obstacles that require quick thinking and careful execution. Spikes, moving platforms, traps, collapsing pathways, and other dangers constantly test the player's skill. The difficulty steadily increases without feeling unfair, creating a satisfying sense of accomplishment whenever a particularly demanding section is completed. Fans of challenging platformers will likely appreciate how success depends on practice and improvement rather than luck. Beyond traversal, WarriOrb incorporates combat and character progression systems that add depth to the adventure. Players can unlock weapons, abilities, and upgrades that expand their options in battle. Enemy encounters range from simple skirmishes to more strategic confrontations that require timing and observation. Boss fights serve as major highlights, often demanding players learn attack patterns and adapt their tactics over multiple attempts. These encounters help break up the platforming segments while providing memorable challenges that showcase the game's mechanics at their best. Exploration also plays a significant role throughout the journey. The world contains hidden paths, secrets, collectibles, merchants, and optional discoveries that encourage curiosity. Players willing to venture off the main route are often rewarded with useful upgrades or additional lore. This sense of exploration helps the environments feel interconnected rather than simply serving as linear stages. Puzzle elements further enrich the experience by introducing moments where observation and problem-solving become just as important as reflexes. Visually, the game delivers an impressive presentation for an independent title. Although gameplay takes place on a side-scrolling plane, the environments feature detailed three-dimensional visuals that add depth and atmosphere. The world is filled with ruined structures, dark caverns, mystical landscapes, and imaginative creatures that contribute to a memorable fantasy setting. Lighting effects and environmental details help establish a mood that shifts naturally between whimsical and ominous. The artistic direction successfully supports both the story's humorous moments and its darker themes. The audio design complements the visuals effectively. Ambient sounds bring the world to life, while the soundtrack enhances exploration, combat, and emotional story beats. Music is used thoughtfully rather than excessively, allowing key moments to stand out. Combined with the game's visual style, the soundscape helps immerse players in the strange and often haunting world that the protagonist must navigate. WarriOrb is not entirely without flaws. Some players may find the later stages occasionally frustrating due to their increased difficulty, and certain platforming sequences require a high degree of precision. The unconventional movement mechanics may also take time to fully appreciate, especially for players accustomed to more traditional platformers. However, these challenges are generally balanced by fair checkpoint placement and responsive controls, ensuring that setbacks rarely feel unreasonable. Overall, WarriOrb is a highly enjoyable blend of action, platforming, exploration, puzzles, and light role-playing elements. Its inventive premise, engaging world design, satisfying movement system, and rewarding progression mechanics combine to create an adventure that feels both distinctive and memorable. While it may not have received the same level of attention as some larger releases, it offers a polished and entertaining experience that deserves recognition from fans of challenging platformers and fantasy adventures. The game's willingness to embrace a strange concept ultimately becomes one of its greatest strengths, resulting in a journey that remains enjoyable from beginning to end. Rating: 7/10

Game is boring. Graphics are 4K amazing! You play a little baby demon ball.
I'm stuck in a bug in chapter 3, went straight to the monk, no floating items. I am going crazy, as an achievement party, many achievements are difficult, and there is no guideline. You can't go back to the previous chapter and hand in the mission. If I could, I'd rather not have played this game.
This is one of my favorite games that I never, ever want to play again. It is controller-smashingly frustrating, but if you're a person who delays appoints, misses sleep, etc because you just have to get past this one part, you will probably enjoy/hate this game
