Had this game before it was taken off Steam Store, it's a BLAST. Lots of fun to be had running a pack of 4 through randomly generated dungeons full of traps, loot, and hordes upon hordes of enemies! As your warriors grow in power, they'll lay ruinous waste to foes that had previously been dungeon bosses as casually as wheat before the scythe! of particular note is how dangerous running too many wizards can be, if your winds come up ZERO you'll likely get jumped by mobs as well as not being able to cast any spells, and if that happens in a crucial moment, it could be game-ending, depending on your settings! or it could just ruin an otherwise solid dungeon run. Another favorite mechanic is the Inventory system, that allows you a certain number of equipment slots of each rarity, to be assembled at your discretion. this leads to times when you have to downgrade one type of equipment in order to satisfy another, which is a fun and interesting dilemma to engage with. However it also draws contrast between certain classes that have more or less items to find total, and more/less different types of items (IE the Troll slayer has arm bands and axes, exclusively, whereas the Witch Hunter has pistols, blades, stakes, amulets, armor, ammo, etc. It just means certain classes can spike in power towards the mid to late game, while others are pretty limited in what they contribute overall. Anyhow, fun game, decent sound and music, definitely find yourself pretty immersed, and the titular Quests (the other half to the Warhammering) have great writing, clever pop culture and warhammer references, as well as an overarching plot of various enemy factions seeking to bring ruin to the Lands of Men, which you and your party can and must rebuff! Plus a pretty expansive map of the South Eastern Empire (as depicted in the Total Warhammer series) will have you saying "well gosh, I've sacked this city before!" time and time again.
Great game shame the DLC can't be downloaded anymore.
a good no braineer dungeon crawl very fun to play
Warhammer Quest (Classic), developed by Rodeo Games and Twistplay and published by Chilled Mouse, is a digital adaptation that stays remarkably faithful to its tabletop roots. Rather than modernizing or reinterpreting the source material, it focuses on translating the original board game experience into a playable format, preserving its structure, pacing, and mechanics. This approach gives it a very specific appeal—one that will resonate strongly with fans of traditional dungeon crawlers and the Warhammer universe, while potentially feeling dated or repetitive to players expecting a more contemporary RPG experience. The gameplay is built around a straightforward but effective loop. You assemble a party of four adventurers, typically drawn from classic archetypes like the Barbarian, Wizard, Dwarf, and Elf, and send them into procedurally generated dungeons. Movement and combat unfold on a grid in a turn-based format, emphasizing careful positioning and resource management. Each action carries weight, and success often depends on planning ahead rather than reacting quickly. There’s a satisfying clarity to this system—every decision feels deliberate, and even simple encounters can become tense when resources are limited or positioning goes wrong. Procedural generation adds a layer of unpredictability to each dungeon run, ensuring that layouts change and encounters feel slightly different each time. However, while this helps maintain variety on a surface level, the overall structure of missions remains largely unchanged. Most objectives revolve around exploring rooms, defeating enemies, and progressing deeper into the dungeon, with little variation in how those goals are achieved. Over time, this repetition becomes more noticeable, particularly during longer sessions, as the game doesn’t introduce many new mechanics or twists to keep the experience evolving. Between expeditions, the game shifts to a town hub where you can manage your party. This includes healing, purchasing equipment, and preparing for future quests. This progression system is simple but effective, creating a steady sense of growth as your characters become stronger and better equipped. The accumulation of gold and gear becomes a key motivator, reinforcing the loop of risk and reward that drives the game forward. While it lacks the complexity of more modern RPG systems, it captures the essence of incremental progression in a way that feels consistent with its origins. Narrative elements are minimal and largely delivered through text, providing context for quests without becoming a central focus. The Warhammer setting itself brings a recognizable atmosphere, filled with familiar enemies and a sense of dark fantasy, but the storytelling doesn’t go much beyond establishing a backdrop for the action. This approach works in maintaining the feel of a tabletop session, where imagination fills in the gaps, but it can also make the experience feel somewhat sparse compared to more narrative-driven games. Visually, the game embraces its tabletop inspiration. The top-down perspective and grid-based movement evoke the feeling of guiding miniatures across a board, and while the environments are not particularly dynamic, they are functional and easy to read. Character models and animations add a bit of personality, but the overall presentation leans more toward clarity than spectacle. This works well for gameplay, though it does contribute to a slightly static atmosphere that lacks the visual energy of more modern dungeon crawlers. One aspect that stands out is how strongly the game reflects its origins as a mobile title. The pacing and structure are well-suited to shorter play sessions, making it easy to pick up and complete a dungeon run without a significant time commitment. However, when played for extended periods, this design can feel stretched, with repetition setting in more quickly than it might in a game built specifically for longer sessions. The interface and overall simplicity further reinforce this mobile-first design philosophy. Despite its limitations, there is a clear appeal in what Warhammer Quest (Classic) offers. It delivers a focused, methodical dungeon-crawling experience that stays true to its source material, providing a sense of tactical gameplay and steady progression. For players who appreciate the slower pace and structured design of classic board games, it can be a satisfying experience, particularly in shorter bursts. In the end, Warhammer Quest (Classic) succeeds as a faithful adaptation rather than a reinvention. It captures the core of the original tabletop experience and presents it in a way that is accessible and easy to engage with, but it doesn’t push beyond that foundation. Its repetitive structure, limited narrative, and simple systems may hold it back from broader appeal, but within its niche, it remains a solid and enjoyable dungeon crawler. Rating: 7/10
Great game, reminds me of the 195 board game.
Good oldschool dungeon crawler, though it is annoying that you cant get all of the charecters anymore
not so tactical

Somewhat basic (and a bit repetitive) dungeon crawler. It's fun but don't expect anything highly engaging.
Estaría divertido si no fuese porque el 90% de los personajes los tienes que comprar y volver a pasar por caja una vez comprado el juego
