About

Take back the city of Tertium from hordes of bloodthirsty foes in this intense and brutal action shooter. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the new co-op focused experience from the award-winning team behind the Vermintide series.
In the depths of the hive, the seeds of corruption threaten to turn into an overwhelming tide of darkness. A mysterious and sinister new force is seeking to take control of the entire city. It is up to you and your allies in the Inquisition to root out the enemy before the city succumbs to Chaos.
As Tertium falls, Rejects Will Rise.

Built on the legacy of Vermintide 2’s best-in-class melee combat, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide introduces intense WH40K gunplay to the mix. Master the balance between ranged and melee combat as you fight through a slew of enemies. Feel the impact of each swipe, swing, and slice of a chainsword, or fry some flesh with a lasgun.

Darktide is a co-op game. Wandering too far, risks punishment by foes looking to immobilize or capture stray Rejects, such as the slavering Chaos Hound or the Moebian Trapper. Once you fall prey to such foes, only your teammates can save you! More than that, your innate toughness – your determination to press on through the pain – only recharges when you are in the proximity of your strike team.

Create your own, unique character and customize their physical appearance, voice, and origin. Choose your class to determine which unique traits and skill sets they will make use of in battle. Will you be a seasoned veteran of the Imperial army, a snarky outsider, or a fiery zealot? The choice is yours.

Step into the violent, dystopian world of Warhammer 40,000. From boiling hot industrial factories to the decaying water maintenance zone afflicted by constant acid rainfall - Tertium Hive is a hard and unforgiving place even at the best of times. Your role is to serve the zealous Inquisition by embarking on missions to exterminate the threats lurking in the depths of the hive city, or die trying.

Adapt to the erratic whims of Chaos with conditions- mutators that add a spontaneous challenge to your mission. Your team must learn to adjust, adopt new tactics and change up their loadouts to face these ruthless challenges.

honestly the game is pretty fun but this problem with the constant crushes is very annoying. For no reason what so ever with no mods it crashes constantly I would say once every 2-3 games . I tried to restart the game after every single match which seemed to solve the problem mostly but still I get the occasional crash I don't think its worth buying solely on this
Having completed the penance for every class currently released, both DLC and base game. And having leveled every single Space Marine in Space Marine 2 to prestiege 4 level 25. I can safely say that Darktide, for all it's faults, is just the better game by a longshot. DT has been out longer than SM2 which obviously means one will have more content in it than the other. But I personally feel as though DT's content is just overall more fun for long term play. Both games can be fun to jump into on low difficulties with friends when you first get into the game. However Darktide feels like the one you can generally sink alot of time into and still enjoy whereas SM2 can get as Rannick would put it. "Rather dull." DT just has better music, alot less repetitive missions and gameplay, and I feel like puts you into the setting of 40k much better as a normal dude than being a 10 foot super soldier could ever do. Although I will continue to play Space Marines 2, I definitely think the late game grind on Darktide is better time spent. Overall, both games are quite decent in their own rights, but if you can only pick one, pick Darktide.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide is a strange game. The gameplay is peak, and the story is palatable if not repetitive. It's simply Vermintide with more ability to build your characters in an classic MMO Fashion served on an FPS orientation. 7/10 - A Good Time with Friends
It's like a Left4Dead but with a Warhammer 40k theme. + Satisfying gunplay (Specially the Boltgun) + Not too grindy - Too many DLCs - Menu's could be better 85/100 Pretty good

Fun Multiplayer experience. Good leveling and talent system. Weapons and fighting feel good.
All I can say is I'm addicted. Love the story and game play. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves Warhammer. Especially if you want to have the feeling of an guardsmen in the setting.
